I've published two romance novels with no sex in the last couple of years (An Unsuitable Duchess and Most Secret, with another due out at the end of March, 2019) and have felt I was swimming against the tide. I don't like explicit sex in novels (even though some of my favorite authors insist on putting it in!), and the term "sweet" as applied to romances always worries me. Sounds like a sunlit world with no dangers or challenges or grit. My characters do swear (the 18th century was known for it, after all), and there is mention of...ummm, females of obliging habits. Glad to find a home here. An Unsuitable DuchessMost Secret
