Hello, librarians!

Is there any way for a non-librarian to see how they should spell the name of an author in order to have a book attributed correctly instead of to a default author with the same name? (In other words, is there any way to see how many spaces were added between first and last name, as instructed in the Librarian Manual, to separate an author's profile from others with the same name?)

Specifically, how could I have prevented Maybe Baby from being attributed to a default Carol Thomas when it belongs to Goodread author Carol Thomas?

Okay, I found the answer (two spaces) while using the add book/author search feature for this post. But of course I'm not allowed to edit the book's page, so could a librarian please fix it for me? Then you might also want to update the title of The Purrfect Pet Sitter: A heartwarming romantic comedy, filled with friendship and love, as "(Lisa Blake, #1)" should appear now that the sequel is coming.

Book moved to the Goodreads author profile, and series information added to the title of book 1. Series page now exists as well: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2566...

I changed the format from 'ebook' to 'Kindle edition' as Goodreads policy says all ebooks with a Amazon ASIN number should be listed as Kindle editions.

For both non-Librarians and Librarians alike, the easiest way to make sure a manually added book ends up on the correct author profile, is to use the 'add book' link visible on that exact author page. Below the 'correct' Carol Thomas' books there is a small text that says "these are all the books on Goodreads for this author. To add more, click here. "

By using this particular 'add more' link the author name - with the right number of blank spaces - will be automatically filled in right from the start. (For authors with 10+ books, you have to go to the full list of books page to find this link.)
