Sam Kuykendall One of the series I remember at the core of my childhood was Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Learning about Greek mythology through a relatable jokester like Percy was one of the reasons I fell in love with history and especially with ancient Greece. I read the Heroes of Olympus series, and enjoyed it very much, but when I learned that Rick Riordan had come out with a new series, I was curious and excited. I was ecstatic to see Riordan pick up right where he left off, with a Greek themed adventure that lives up to the Percy Jackson legacy. From front to back, the new Trials of Apollo series is mysterious, humorous, and really just fun. With the clueless, sarcastic, and now mortal god Apollo as the protagonist, Riordan puts a new twist on the Greek world with a complete and well rounded character cast. The Hidden Oracle also features some familiar faces as it starts a new chapter in Riordan's Greek series trilogy.
