1. Strong historical non-fiction and even historical fiction can be really difficult for me.
2. I'd have to say Mystery Romance haha
3. I am open to a series. I think reading the first book in a series without obligation of finishing and then deciding together if we'd like to continue would be a good option.
Books I'd like to recommend:
- "Today will be Different" - by Maria Semple
- "Mom & Me & Mom" - by Maya Angelou
- "Circe" - by Madeline Miller

1. I find it difficult to engage in biographies, unless it’s someone I’m already super interested in. I also love history but history books usually put me to sleep
2. If I had to pick one genre it would be science fiction/social science fiction 👽🤖
3. Totally open to series!
3 books I’d like to read this year
Girl, Stop Apologizing
by Rachel Hollis
The Collected Schizophrenias
by Esme Weijun Wang
I can’t think of a third but maybe a classic that I haven’t read but should???
I think voting is a good way to pick :)
Finished Crazy Rich Asians!

2. Fantasy, for sure.
3. I'm definitely open to series, but I like to keep my options open. (Enneagram 7, over here haha)
Books I want to read:
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
Hallelujah Anyway by Anne Lamott
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I'm open for how to decide, maybe rotation?
2. If you could only read one genre for the rest of your life what would you choose?
3. Are you open to series or would you prefer to stick to stand alone novels?
Please recommend 3 book titles that you'd either like to see us read together, or 3 books that you personally want to read this year. (If you click on "bookself" on the right column, please add them to our "to-read" shelf)
Book Choosing Methods:
1. The mediator will choose 3 books from our collective bookshelf and we will vote - the most popular will be the book we read.
2. We will rotate through individuals who will either choose a book or offer their preferred options for us to vote on.
3. We can follow a best-sellers, genre, or categorized list of book titles recommended from a source.
Which of these seems the most favorable to you?
