WHIRTY Read-A-Thon discussion

Hi all, I'm Ashli. My Booktube channel is Faithfully Moonstruck, and I am hosting this readathon this year. I have ALWAYS been a big reader, but been pretty involved in the book community since about 2014. I am married, have 5 kids, 10 year old boy/girl twins, 2 girls who are both 8 years old (NOT twins), and a 2 year old girl. I like to read mostly sweet, fluffy contemporary, but I also like a bit of mystery or thriller, lighter fantasy and scifi, historical fiction...I get sporatic moods. :) I have a very large TBR though, so there's quite a few books on my shelves that make me think, "Why haven't I read this yet?!" quite frequently, hence this readathon is a really fun one for me.

Hello friends! My name is Jacquie. I go by @o.emme.he on Instagram. I was really big into reading in middle school and high school (graduated 2012) but after high school I drifted away from reading. I got back into books in September 2018 when I stumbled upon booktube and fell in love with the community. I am a preschool teacher but am in the process of changing careers, I'm 25, and I am in the process of moving. I go through reading phases but my favorite genres right now are historical fiction and fairy-tale retellings but I am a mood reader. Just like Ashli, I have a very large TBR shelf so I'm excited for this readathon :)

Good evening everyone! My name is Megan. I have a son who is 6 yrs old and a stepson who is 13 yrs old. I have been in the army national guard for 12 years (spent 15 months in Iraqand am now deployed in Kuwait) when I'm not playing soldier i work as a corrections officer at a state prison. I find myself doing a mix of many different things to rid of the everyday stress which include reading, workingout, meditation, and many different types of crafts. This is my first readathon and am determined to do a dewys 24 hr one. I have 2 very long lists of books one at home and one here in Kuwait that i want to read. I read all sorts of books. Books take me away from the stress that i have soni can clear my mind even if its just for 5 or 10 min.
