Overall Rating: 15/10
The best RPG manga/ manhwa I have read so far.
I personally don't enjoy reading RPG style series. I never was a fan of the acclaimed SwordArt Online and I lose interest easily finding most of them similar and plain boring. And yet I found myself addicted to Solo Leveling even more so after the event that had changed the main character's life.
The main plot is simple and to the point. Most of the cast is there for interaction only, giving the MC motives. The protagonist undergoes one of the most if the most drastic psychological and physical evolution I have ever seen in any light novel, manga/ manhwa, book series I have ever read. Forget the plot about him being the weakest hunter, and after a sacrifice becomes secretly the strongest hunter (ever so still evolving). Jin-Woo learns from his past mistakes, adapts to his environment and fights/ plays to win. Even though his physical appearance from pre to post hidden dungeon event are significant, I would have to say his psychological evolution stands alone among others and gives the character a sinister and morbid perspective to his still caring nature.
The artwork is detailed and well expressed. Although there are many moments where the dialogue is practically non existent replaced only by panels alone. The scenarios are fast paced and so are the fights.
If you are a fan of RPG like novels, this is the series for you. I am just addicted to the MC and his new found survival mode sadist side :)
Do I recommend it:

Oh yes!!!!

*raises 2 hands in agreement*
Usually I get pretty bored with these types of adventure manhwa as the characters are either whiney or too unfeeling (aka not human), but I was super surprised in Solo Leveling. Jin-Woo grows up like lightning while still managing to be super OP, and looking good while doing it ;)
The art style is beautiful, the lore of the world is fleshed out enough to make sense and the majority of characters make you not want to kill them (with exceptions).
Catch me checking my notifications every day waiting for the next update...
I wait after 10 chapters. I got my friend to read it and we pine every week when a new chapter comes out waiting to have a good amount to read in one shot!
I really love solo leveling chapter 54 because the artwork is definitely stunning in addition to the go with the flow of the tale. i think this is a long way one of the first-rate however I honestly wish there might be an anime adaption for this one.

10 years ago, after “the Gate” that connected the real world with the monster world opened, some of the ordinary, everyday people received the power to hunt monsters within the Gate. They are known as "Hunters". However, not all Hunters are powerful. My name is Sung Jin-Woo, an E-rank Hunter. I'm someone who has to risk his life in the lowliest of dungeons, the "World's Weakest". Having no skills whatsoever to display, I barely earned the required money by fighting in low-leveled dungeons… at least until I found a hidden dungeon with the hardest difficulty within the D-rank dungeons! In the end, as I was accepting death, I suddenly received a strange power, a quest log that only I could see, a secret to leveling up that only I know about! If I trained in accordance with my quests and hunted monsters, my level would rise. Changing from the weakest Hunter to the strongest S-rank Hunter!
