The dialogue- particularly that between Atticus and Jem and Scout is hilarious. It's so well as to be natural but Scout is so much wiser than her years allow. It's no surprise she doesn't like school! I am, however, somewhat surprised it's not remarked upon but I know the family is not the main focus in the grander scheme of things. (I loved how she spoke to Mr Cunningham! Charming without knowing her power.

I admire how Harper Lee was able to put so much social issues, sensitive history and, small town politics into an 'easy perspective.'
