This month we're learning some fun facts about our Crocodiles and Sea Horses
1. Crocodiles
Complete one of the following tasks.
a. Crocodiles are large reptiles that live near rivers, lakes, and brackish water (mix between salty and fresh water).
Read a book that has water on the cover (show cover). -OR- the word lake(s) or river(s) in its title.
b. Crocodiles are meat-eaters (carnivores). The have 24 sharp teeth which are used for killing prey.
Read a book whose Author's initials (first & last names) are in CARNIVORES.
c. Crocodiles can be often seen with the jaws wide open. The open their mouths to "cool" themselves because they don't have sweat glands.
Read a book with a snow scene or beach scene on the cover (show cover).
2. Sea Horses
Complete one of the following tasks.
a. A baby Sea horses is called a fry.
Read a book that starts with letter F-R- or Y (excluded the, an , a)
b. Sea horse courtship begins every morning with a daily "dance" for several days. The final dance can last up to 8 hours.
Read a book with the number 8 in its page count.
c. Sea horses are known as the "assassins of the sea" due to their sneaky hunting techniques.
Read a book with a character thats an assassin.
