Eugenie, your books truly touch me like no other. I love that they are so thought-provoking and meaningful. They offer solace to my crazy, hectic life and help to keep me optimistic.

I love how you concluded Philanthropic Ways. Amelia struggled so much towards the end and was on such a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

(view spoiler)[She had waited so long for a good, worthy husband and Yan had such potential. I can’t imagine the distraught she must have felt upon learning that he was a lowly criminal who had stolen from the church. (hide spoiler)]

Should Amelia have supported Yan through thick and thin? Is she too prone to giving up when the going gets tough?

I really love Amelia as a character but she did disappoint me a bit by letting her emotions cloud her faith at times (view spoiler)[(firstly, by not totally trusting that God would take care of her needs and secondly, by judging Yan too quickly and harshly). It’s as though she didn’t have absolute blind faith and trust in God’s master plan for her. She needed constant assurance—her dreams/visions—as guidance.
Or is it just that she’s so spiritually attuned? (hide spoiler)]

The homecoming was truly magnificent. It was amazing to have God’s Three Little Angels reunite. I love how they were each inspired to create portions of a beautiful song that synchronized flawlessly. I could almost hear them singing it.

(view spoiler)[Poor Avarel. One would think that she had such a charmed and exciting life, but she chased fame and fortune to her absolute detriment. It must be hard to be thrust into the limelight and into that “fast-lane” lifestyle and resist the temptations of all the negative influences—affairs, drugs, etc. You’d think someone like Avarel who had such a strong spiritual foundation would make wiser choices. It was sad at the end to read how she passed away so horrifically. (hide spoiler)]

“For what shall it profit a man to gain this whole world and lose his soul”?

Do you think it is possible to strive for “glory” through fame and fortune and still lead a virtuous life?

Angel thank you for you feedback. I am simply overjoyed that you obvious gain so much from my novels. I take credit only for the hard work put into writing them but I give full credit to God for inspiration. I hope the others will join in the discussion x

Wow, wow, wow. I'm a couple chapters into Part VII, and I must say that I'm more intrigued. You've taken it in directions I did not expect. 😊

Another powerful scene. I could hear the militant-style music as it filled the sanctuary; the resounding beats as Amelia cried out:

Followed by:

"God had scattered his enemies

Wow!

House of God is a song I wrote. I received immediate inspiration to write one Sunday, when a young man visited our church, picked an argument with someone and swore. The song was inspired by righteous indignation.

I later found out that the young man was a troubled soul - a searching soul. I began to pray for him - today I count him as a friend. Although I attend a different church now, we still connect on Facebook. :-]

Oh, wow, so the song and the profane outburst was inspired by real life events that you witnessed. That's powerful in itself.
