Marisa— Sorry you had a rainy weekend. It was beautiful here: 67F on Saturday, which I did not get to enjoy as I was working, and 80F Sunday, which was a little too warm as I spent three hours at the Arboretum. What a difference a year makes! This time last year it was cold and we had a lot of snow in April, so nothing was blooming. This year? Half the magnolia trees are blooming, and spring flowers coming up everywhere! 😊 I ended up walking more than intended and felt every mile last night.
Being a holiday, the visitor center was not open, so it was a good thing I had two bottles of water, which I had to carefully ration. Also good that I remembered sunscreen. In addition to all the flowers, I also saw two hawks, a turtle, a couple of dragonflies as big as small birds (seriously!), one chipmunk, several wild turkeys, and two garter snakes, one of which I almost stepped on—good thing I wear sensible walking shoes and not the flip flops I see too many people wearing there.
Anyway, I hope everyone else had a good weekend, no matter how you spent it!

Marisa - No worries. Unfortunately, we’re going to the opposite extreme this weekend, with possible 3-6 inches of snow Saturday. Hopefully the last time we’ll see snow this year. On the other hand, it’s better than the deadly storms/tornadoes across the South. 😕

You had the better weather this weekend, LOL! We did see snow all day Saturday, but it did not stick and what little bit clung to trees melted Sunday morning. We set a new record low for yesterday, as we woke to 25F — but it warmed to 53F during the day. Now we are to have rain most of the week. Good weather to stay inside and read!
Yes, we had 6" of snow in Chicago, most melted when it hit the ground. My tulips are finally recovering. It did give me inside time to finish my reading.
