I see at least one person has finished already, so I figure it is time to add the review sharing thread! :)

I finished just in time for the end of March - I thought this book was great!

Click here for my review - it definitely has no spoilers.

Richard (rsquaredreads) | 178 comments Where do I even begin?

I cannot think of a single part of this story that I didn’t enjoy. The characters were dynamic and intricate. The world was created with enough detail to feel real, but not so much that it was droll. The pace of the novel was perfect.

Foundryside isn’t just one novel. It felt like multiple stories wrapped up into one and never once did it feel overdone. I also appreciated that Bennett created a queer, female character but didn’t make it the focal point of any of the plot lines. Too many authors try to shoehorn that in only for it to fall flat.

And, look at me being a bad moderator - I never responded to Richard's review!

Some really great points - it did feel like a complete package without trying to fit too much in. And, it flowed naturally - nothing forced!

Stephanie Dique | 49 comments I loved any parts that had to do with scribed objects, but I just couldn’t get into all the history with the Founders/politics. I really wanted to, but somehow I felt I zoned out every time it went into that. Perhaps my opinion is muddled by the fact I was on night shifts while listening to this and I was wanting more of a Harry Potter-magic feel. Also a shout out to the audiobook narrator; she did an incredible job with all the voices.

Meghan | 118 comments A little behind on posting, but Stephanie's post reminded me...

I had a similar experience to her in that I loved a LOT about the story, but I lost a bit of interest in a couple of the secondary characters. Like her, this may have been specific to multitasking with audiobook. But overall, I really enjoyed it!

Yes - the most excited I have been for a sequel since The Toll last year!
