message 1: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I am against abortion. God knew the baby's name before they were conceived in the womb. So it is life, the moment they are conceived. When abortion takes place, no matter how far along the child is, it is murder. You are killing life, and it is wrong. I know some people use the argument that they didn't want to get pregnant , or they were raped, or they are too young. First of all, rape is a terrible thing, and you will have to deal with the effect for the rest of your life. But, less than 2% of abortions are due to rape. And the other things, you chose to take the chance of getting pregnant. So you shouldn't kill just because you don't want them.

I 100℅ agree with you Harper! It's sickening just thinking about it.

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I agree.

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I did not, but it isn't surprising. Yes, we do not! It's there lives, not ours.

Erin O'Connor {If The Review Fits} | 512 comments Agreed wholeheartedly with you all

ElsaMakotoRenge (mantaicysnowflake) | 164 comments I’m against abortion EXCEPT in case of rape or the pregnancy is making the mom at a high risk of dying (I don’t know what medical issues would cause that exactly but I’m sure they exist).

People who end up pregnant because they didn’t use protection...sorry that’s their own fault and they should not be allowed to abort it. They can always put the baby up for adoption if they can’t or don’t want to keep it.

message 8: by Derpy (new)

Derpy Panda Lover (derpypandalover) | 174 comments I agree with that ^
I'm against people who just got drunk or "changed there mind" and "didn't feel like it" aborting the baby.
But some freaky things happen. I don't wanna go into detail about it but think: girls that are underage + bad people.

Erin O'Connor {If The Review Fits} | 512 comments I absolutely do.

message 10: by ElsaMakotoRenge (new)

ElsaMakotoRenge (mantaicysnowflake) | 164 comments No. It’s going to be WAY too expensive and frankly illegal immigrants will still get in. You could go by boat, you could go under or over said wall. You could bribe border control if you had a way to do so. There is no way EVERY INCH would be guarded. Not to mention it’s not practical to build a wall over EVERY SINGLE MILE of the border. Like...can you imagine how ridiculous it seems? How is that going to work? This isn’t one city (think Berlin Wall), it’s a whole very long country border. Perhaps I’m thinking too literally but to my mind it’s just stupid and impractical.

So in short, no way. Illegal immigration is a major issue but the wall is not the way to go about fixing it in my opinion. It’s also encouraging prejudice against Mexicans in general which is horrible. There are lots of Mexicans here legally. And there are lots of illegal immigrants that aren’t Mexican.

I do like President Trump. I like him because he is bringing jobs back, and he is actually doing something about illegal immigrants. He's also against abortion, oh, and he's all for homeschooling! Trump seems to care a lot about America, and making it great again.

I’m not very politically informed so idk what that is...
But if it’s just that white and black people should have the same rights then i totally agree!

message 22: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I know a little bit about it. I just think that we should not look at someone who looks different than us, any differently. We're all people. We all have problems. And we are all in this race called life together.

Same. People have these big charts, and I'm like, do you see those numbers? Yes, it went up about .002 something tiny. It does that.

message 30: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (theduke-456) | 13 comments I see no problem with it.

message 31: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I am against it. God created us in different genders for reasons. Marriage is a man and a woman coming together to form one. Not a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. It doesn't work. That's not the way God designed it. Also, God instructed us to reproduce, and He gave us a way to do so. You need a man and a woman to do this, and you should only do this within marriage.

message 32: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (theduke-456) | 13 comments Consider this: gender is a result of the evolution of the species. Marriage came about as a strategy for raising offspring. But society has developed ways of changing the arrangements of marriage. Artificial insemination is a technology that allows reproduction to happen without the traditional way. Gay marriage does not bring harm to those who partake in it.

message 33: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Okay, yes, I understand that there are other ways for reproduction. But God created and sanctified a way that is enjoyable to us, and glorifying to him, if done righteously! Which is done in marriage with a man and woman.

message 34: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (theduke-456) | 13 comments Are those who deviate from the way God sanctified it living in sin?

message 35: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) We all sin, and we all are most likely wrong about something. But, you are to test your beliefs with the Bible, and from what the Bible says, I believe what I have said. Whether or not you are in sin is between you and the Lord.

message 36: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (theduke-456) | 13 comments Why do you believe the the Bible?

message 37: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Well, why do you believe in evolution? You have to have faith in all beliefs, and that is part of it. But, another part is that we have proof. We have miracles, and just little things that happen to us day to day that show us, first, that there is a god, and second, that our God is real and the One True God. Also, the Bible is a historical artifact. And, the Bible lines up with the things we have found from history well.
Another thing is science. I love science. I'm not great at it, but I love it. In every aspect of our world, galaxy, universe, and life, it points to Jesus, to God. These little details that show us that this world didn't happen by chance, by a big boom, by fish turning into dinosaurs, it happened because someone designed it, and that someone is God.
I don't mean to turn your belief down, or persuade you to believe what I believe, but I am called to love, and evangelize. I hope this helps you, and if you have more questions, I would love to answer them, and if I can't, I will ask someone who knows.

message 38: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (theduke-456) | 13 comments The evidence for evolution is overwhelming. I'm a committed Darwinian and that is faith of a sort.

Science books today do not reference the Bible. You can read books by Stephen Hawking, Lawrence Krauss and Neil deGrasse Tyson and find no mention of Jesus or God.

The Bible does not exactly line up with history. I can recommend you the books on that. A lot of this depends on your interpretation of the Bible, your theology and your denomination. What is your denomination?

message 45: by Allerglance (new)

Allerglance | 28 comments As a Catholic, I support Charlie.

Also, not everyone enjoys pleasure from the opposite sex. It may be enjoyable between opposites, but it's still different from the love between two people if that sex is anything more than just pleasure as a reward for marriage rather than the genuine love of two people together.

And, don't you think we are all children of God regardless of our orientation? People who are LGBT still worship God, regardless of what people say otherwise.

We are not all the children of God. God has chosen His select few. Whether you are one of them is between you and God.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

I, also, am a southern baptist.
And would love to get them also.

Now, as a homosexual I support the smart ones.
Ones that don't flaunt their sexual preferences in public and feel like people don't support them ((even though 99% does))
Now, in the bible it does state that god made Man to be with woman.
But heck, he doesn't say they go to hell so...
Now, as to how god is real or not, he is in my opinion.
For example, in my theories the grand canyon was formed when the earth was flooded by god.
I'm not arguing with anyone, and quite frankly don't want to, but if you want to have a friendly conversation we can!

No, God never says, "If you're a homosexual, you're going to hell." But, if you continue in sin, going against what He does say, you probably aren't saved, and then you will go to hell.
But, the whole reason for being saved is not to get out of hell, although that's part of it. But, it's so that we can be with God.
