I guessed at once something bad was happening although I didn't think Hicks was going to be a bad guy!
I hadn’t suspected Hicks but I did in that moment. I also remembered that cab loitering out there, too, and knew something was afoot.
I had suspected Hicks for a short time earlier in the book. This caught my attention when Frank mentioned that he had already relayed the information about Emma's murder to Hicks. I started thinking that Hicks may have been in on the murder, but hoped he wasn't.
Jonetta wrote: "That threw everyone. Kudos to the author for springing that red herring so late in the story."So true. I thought I had the mystery solved but Hicks really made me reconsider my theories for a moment there.
I thought Hicks was behind everything from the first time he is introduced. I wasn't sure if he was doing it for his wife or Gilda. When he delayed Frank I was sure he and Gilda were in it together. I don't think Hicks committed any of the murders though. I thought he used Terrance and Gilda.
