STATUS AFTER CH 1-15I’ve enjoyed re-visiting this novel a lot more than I anticipated!
Kafka’s journey is intriguing and full of questions, especially in regards to the boy named Crow. It makes me think of Crow in Max Porter’s novel “Grief is the thing with Feathers”, although they’re nothing like each other.
I obviously also love the setting! A beautiful library! Who wouldn’t love it?! I love when literature references other literature - intertextuality is just my thing.
The shift between the main narrative, the interviews and Nakata’s plot line slowly makes more and more sense and adds to the complex story.
I’m eager to continue with the next 15 chapters!

I feel the same way! It's been years since I last read this novel, and there is so much that I don't remember. And I'm am already so drawn in, and eager to continue on the reread. I read the 12 chapters in one day, and had to savour the rest, so that I really will be able to enjoy and discuss it with you (with no spoilers!) ;)
