Well, just on the off chance...I'm about to read Hannah Foster's 1797 novel(la) The Coquette, after an essay cited it as something like "the first viable American novel". I'd never even heard of it. I don't have crazy high hopes for it but it's less than 200 pages so who cares. Its thread in this group is here.
See? You guys! You could read a 1200-page book about snow or a 200-page book about a flirty lady! Come on!
Hmm I like this idea! My shelves are creaking at the moment, but next time I have an inclination to seek something out I'll peep in here
I'm starting 'Testament of Youth' with Aubrey in August, probably around the 15th, so if anyone's interested in joining feel free! The more the merrier :)
Hi all. Brina, Amina and I are planning to read Love Medicine as a group read in March. Others are welcome to join!
Yes, I am planning on reading it soon as well!Aubrey, is there still a possibility of a new thread for the discussion?

Yes, I have created it! Sorry for the lateness, my laptop has been giving me a lot of trouble. You can find the thread here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Love Medicine (other topics)Kristin Lavransdatter (other topics)
The Coquette (other topics)

P.S. Once the initial stages are planned, the board for the book itself is a good place for continuing the resulting group read discussion. This will minimize muddle on this one.
