Hi, and thanks for the invite. If there are no books posted yet, can I volunteer to go first and promise to review someone else's work once it's posted?

Yep i have put mine under kindle science fiction and published syfy so please go ahead. Its an example of what to post. Keep it short and sweet in the Kindle and published sections. IN the beta you could give more info. I may create some duplicate threads ie syfy2 syfy3 etc if it gets busy, but I think it should be enough right now.

First: I self published my book and I don’t know what genre the publishing company used? Personally I think that it should be placed in a young adults category, but am I allowed to change this? Second: Can you please tell me what Beta reads are? Or Beta Books are? And can you tell me what Indie Books are also?
Thirdly and Finally: Quite frankly, I am not a computer literate person. Half the time I don’t understand what these people are asking me to do. I guess this is my fault, but in my defense I was a registered nurse for 25 years. They didn’t have computers then, and I don’t understand a lot of what they are asking.

Please place your book in ghe genre you think suits and buy the book above yours. You then review the book. Beta are unpublush or test books chapters for people looking for feed back.

I have a question about the categories. My works so far are short stories that fall into the Scifi, Fantasy and Romance genre.

Can we review books even though we have a short story listed in the short story section? Like if I want to review a book, but I have a short story, do I still put my link for review in the short story category because that is what my works are? They vary from like 60+ pages to like 87 pages. Quick reads.

Hmm....I took the format for this group from a facebook group and the major change I made was to categorise the threads because, to be honest, I don't want to have to read a romance when my prefered genre is Syfy or horror and visa versa. I would think that many authors are the same. That's not to say I don't read and enjoy other genres. You can post your book in two categories, so I put mine under kindle Syfy and published Syfy, but it has some comedy elements so I could have put it under comedy. I think it would still work if you put it under short story and another category so long as it fits is under $2.99 or KU.

The most important thing with this group is NOT TO STALL THE THREADS. So no blanketing by authors who have lots of books, only two at a time from a single author until you have posted your reviews, and mix it up, that will keep it moving so even if there are only a few of us here right now we can all review each other's books. So I think you would be fine. I think.....working it out as I go here!

Ah, I see what you have done there....see that wont work. You could put all your books in one post and people can pick one of three, or just put two stories up, one in one category and one in another. As we are the first here we dont have to read other peoples. Even though they are short it is only fair that people should only have to write one review. So you post one, someone posts under you and you can post one again (only because you are the first) Then you would have to review the guy above you.

If anyone has any published friends, beta friends or any friends at all invite them to join the group, if you think they might be interested. This group will work best once it has a few more people, then it should move like a well-oiled machine (well I can only hope!)
