So how are we doing so far? Let's talk about all the things (please only include bookish information up through chapter 6 here). Potential Spoilers if you have not completed chapters 1-6.

This is going differently than I expected (different good though). I’m enjoying it. I thought the scene with the cows was very creative and unique. It makes me think of mad cow disease though.

How is everyone enjoying the book so far? Anyone interested in her second novel?

Emma I haven't had a chance to read for a couple of days 😞. Will hopefully get back into it this afternoon

Lilly | 17 comments so far I love it, I love the power Agnieszka is trying to control, how she struggles with the unknown paths. I thinks this is very well presented, in a subtile way of sorts.

The scene with the cows was intense but I have two I liked more: when she combines her power with the Dragon and grows the roses and when she saved her friend from that tree.

I am on chapter 10 already, I didn't even realize when the pages were turned. I am scared to see the ending though .... and yes, I would read the second novel and also her previous series :)

Jody | 13 comments I'm about halfway through chapter 8. Didn't read as much as I hoped to this weekend. I am enjoying the book even though it's a little out of the box for me (genre wise). I recently saw a couple of reviews on second book. Consensus was pretty much a 3 star read. However if I remember correctly both reviews were from people who read it on audiobook. I'm not a fan of audiobook fiction so I would probably give a book a chance even with a less than positive audiobook review.

Okay, I’m thinking maybe our second book will be her second novel then. I’ve been wanting to read it soon. I’m thinking for now there will be a book every other month. What does everyone think of that or would you rather every month?

Sorry to clarify, I mean her second fairytale retelling Spinning Silver. I think she has a dragon series as well.

Emma Sounds good, although I'm struggling to get as much time to read as I'd like :-(

Only 30% through this one

We could make the next read-along for the whole month if that works for everyone?

Jody | 13 comments Every other month for the whole month sounds good.

message 12: by Lilly (new)

Lilly | 17 comments I am in too :) we can put a target number of chapters per week :) and I would also try Spinning Silver :)
