Avengers Assemble! discussion

good, but not great.
It isn't Black Panther, but it isn't Iron Man 2 either.

Solid and entertaining, but had just enough issues/quibbles to bug me.
Some of the prequel nature was clunky and didn't quite work.

I'll get into spoilers after other people have a chance to chime in.

I can’t wait to see it. Wondering how I can sneak in a four year old.

Captain Marvel is definitely the beginning of something fantastic for the MCU. I was not as picky as some viewers simply because I loved seeing her on screen- the first female in the MCU to have her own film! That’s a big deal!! So maybe I’m biased but I loved her and I thought her movie was in line with the Marvel style, and I can’t wait to see more of her in the future!

Some of the pushing her to be marvel's Wonder Woman doesn't thrill me, but I did enjoy that she got the same origin story structure deal as all the other marvel heroes and love that the focus is not so much 'Yay girls!' ( though there is that element) but the idea that you fight to protect people and it doesn't matter that you fall, what matters is you keep getting back up.

Or as a wise man once said: "I can do this all day." and "I don't like bullies"

Ms. Marvel: yeah, I'm too lazy to start a new one, and this leads into the Marvels movie, so it counts.

Bit too old to care about teen angst, but the actress and the character of Kamala are solid and likably, so I'll forgive the rough patches.
I get the powers change is due to CGI budget, but there are some interesting hints, so it could work..

Don't love Damage Control being turned into yet another generic, barely competent government agency.

Not perfect, but has potential.
