What foreshadowing - in the book and in life. I really like Tom and his insights. He’s a good balance for Isabel who seems unafraid/naive, I can’t decide which.
I loved his gesture of getting the piano fixed for her. And I laughed at Tom saying “she’s chucked a wobbly” when she got mad at him. I’m going to start saying that around our house.

This author seems to have a mastery of foreshadowing without being obvious. Even the meaning of Janus was very interesting.
