What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I've been trying to search for this futuristic romance book a long time. Borrowed from the library back maybe in the early 90s.

I don't remember specifics but there is a scene where the heroine's healing on the medical table (?) and hero was really fascinated with her. Although she has no money to her name, she's pretty independent. The hero always protects her and provide her resources. But I can't remember whether there were enemies they had to fight with since her planet was destroyed so it might be a space adventure.

I would love to know the name and title. I don't remember the cover.
