Mary Anne, it's nice to see you posting again. It's been a long winter, hasn't it? How are things?

It has indeed been a longish winter.

the miracle officially commences:
the longish winter is winding up!
The buds are certain of it, and even old bones are feeling it. May we all bloom!

i remember that old ditty!
but i seem to remember the last line as
the Flowers is?
as it is, the birdies are chirping and zipping in and out of the trees, building nests I guess.
I'm feeling glad that we have survived the longish winter and beaming love ❤

I looked it up. The original seems to be "boidies" but people have turned this into a ditty with variations and "flowers" is one. Interesting! I didn't know any of this.
It's wonderful that people have adapted this little poem.
As well, there seems to be a second verse to the original. I've never heard of a continuation to the ditty.

Spring is such a great time.....even if it's wet, dark and gloomy like today.

Fall is my favourite season, but spring brings me joy for my little garden and the planting I do. Wet, dark and gloomy (while warmer than it was in winter) makes the worms happy.
