Earl Devine kills Martin Stanek. Did Holly set that up? Do you think her father had any suspicion that she lied about the abuse? Did she know he had a terminal illness?

I don't think Holly had anything to do with what her dad did and I don't think she knew about the illness. I also don't believe that her dad knew that she made up the abuse story.

I think she manipulated her father into killing Martin. Holly called him and told him where he was staying. And, I think she knew he’d sacrifice himself for her. I don’t think Earl had a clue she’d lied about the abuse.

I’m unsure if Holly was aware of Earl’s terminal illness. I could be swayed one way or the other but can’t remember anything that would point to her knowing.

She totally set up Martin's death and manipulated her father into killing him. She also knew full well that he was sick. She even describes his giving up smoking, losing weight and his cough and frailty.

Earl loved and believed her though. Another victim of her machinations.

I believe she manipulated her father into killing Martin. She knew her father would do anything to protect her. Giving him the address of where Martin was staying closed the deal.
