Anna (vegfic) | 10435 comments Scifi books featuring life sciences in some way. Either one of the protagonists works in the field, or the plot deals with elements from one of the sciences. Think life and living things (real or alien), like plants, animals, micro-organisms, genes, etc, and the people (human or otherwise) who work with them.

These are the books that were nominated. Please continue recommending books that fit the theme. Nomination rules no longer apply, so short fiction is also allowed, and there are no author restrictions.

Trike I assume this would include “ecoweird” and biopunk stories like Darwinia, Annihilation and Change Agent?

Anna (vegfic) | 10435 comments Sure, and Biopunk, anything where the focus is on the living side of natural science.

I shall add Joan Slonczewski, who writes science fictions with a lot of biology. My favorite is A Door Into Ocean.

Cheryl (cherylllr) Her novels are available scanned into openlibrary.org. I've added them all to one of my to-read shelves. :)
