Austen August: A Pride and Prejudice Read-A-Long discussion

Mrs Bennet conspires to leave Bingley and Jane alone so that Bingley can propose, but he doesn't do so until a few days later- YAY HE PROPOSES : D YAY JANE AND BINGLEY!



After which, Jane discovers that Bingley had no idea that Jane was in London over the winter and it was in fact a scheme of his sisters to keep them apart. - haha in yo face Caroline Bingley!

"...Mrs. Bennet sat looking and winking at Elizabeth and Catherine for a considerable time, without making any impression on them. Elizabeth would not observe her, and when Kitty did, she very innocently said, 'What is the matter mamma? What do you keep winking at me for? What am I to do?'"

I can't decide which is more humorous, the fact that Elizabeth is ignoring her mother's winking or Kitty's confusion.

Oh, Jane and Bingley!

I love that scene in the drama, it's great XD Mrs Bennet being as theatrical as ever!!
