It's an annual festival in Des Moines - this year, they had author Nnedi Okorafor, which is the main reason I went. They also had Garth Stein of the Art of Racing in the Rain and Susan Orlean. Here is the webpage: https://www.dsmpartnership.com/dsmboo.... It was fun. Where in Iowa? I'm in Ames.
I missed this last year, but might be able to participate next year. I live near Ames so Des Moines isn't far.
