Ensnared Prediction - SPOILERS AHEAD

Oh my god yes XD
Major foreshadowing :) I remember, though that Alison wrote that in her notes back when she still thought that she was going to be the red queen so I wonder who she was refering to as her King. Definitely not Morpheus.
I'm more curious to see how Thomas' role is going to change in the next book. And what about the "changes" that everything that goes through the other world when they return? How much did Thomas change? He visited there, after all. And how is Morpheus and Jeb going to change? Just been pondering these questions recently.
What I meant by that quote is that, first and foremost, it was the author who said it. So yes to major foreshadowing ;)A.G. might not have known for sure how the series was going to end at the time, like she said, but she certainly made room for Morpheus to become the Red King when she made the original king rather conveniently disappear inside the Jabberlock box.
Diane wrote: " I doubt Thomas could've been her king."
She didn't know Thomas at the time yet.

Also because he is a netherling, and the fact that the wood didn't spit them out, so they won't become mutants.
Jeb will change, because of all the hints we have, the cover, the Harlequin picture on Pinterest. He will definitely be under the thumb of the Queen of Hearts for a while. Like I said before in another thread, maybe she liked Jeb and took him as "payment" for accepting them all into AnyElsewhere. And there is that "cheating" song on his playlist... It may or may not mean something too. Maybe not

Noooooooooo, I love this music and now I will only think of Jeb when I'll hear it :/
OMG, Lena, I'm sorry. I know how it is, because I'll never be able to listen to some songs now too. Because I will think of Jeb and, well, you all know how I feel about him. I promise not to mention any songs here, or I'll hide them under spoilers. At least it is not a romantic song ;)

Well, I always pay attention to the lyrics, out of habit and because A.G. said: "I choose songs not only for their beat and mood, but for the lyrics."

I think I just fall off my chair...
Uhhh....Wow. Now with these predictions, my mind will be working overtime trying to come up with logical explanations, for like everything. Natalia, you really opened up a new prediction thought with that Jeb/Queen of Hearts prediction. I think you could be, very possibly, correct.....
I love this thread!!!!
Yes, this thread is where we can let our imagination run free. And @Amelia my mind is already working overtime almost all the time ;)I accidentally came across this old guest post on someone's blog by A.G., you might want to check it out. It is an old entry, dated December 2012, and A.G. speaks about love triangles.

Thanks! That was interesting. I'm going to have to analyze it (to look for any hints or clues).

You pick up on all the right things ;) Because it is a no-brainer WHO Alyssa is TRULY better off with. You know, this one guy with black wings and blue hair. For the many reasons we have already discussed in different threads that they would make another wall of text ;)
Another thought I have. Since Alyssa won't have any change of clothes once she is back to Wonderland, except for those that she is wearing, she will definitely need something. And who is better to provide her with clothes than Morpheus? I bet he has a whole wardrobe worth of most beautiful, extravagant, outlandish, wild and sexy outfits waiting for her in Wonderland. Outfits that he designed and maybe created too, with the help of his sprites, because A.G. said that he can sew just fine.
And I can't wait to see what Alyssa will be wearing. I mean, we get a few ideas from the Pinterest board, but I'm sure there will be more.

And as I saw on the Pinterest board there are a few pics of those wonderland-ish, incrusted with hearts and gems bras. Like I think it would be combined with a skirt and a crown (queen Alyssa possible outfit) and not a dress ;)
Maybe this is where the question that why does Morpheus know all of her exact measurements is brought out. I remembered this being mentioned in another thread. Idea:
The Queen of Hearts is going to make an appearance and maybe Alyssa and her have a queen to queen, political, full of passive agressiveness, showdown over ... tea. Alyssa will clearly need to be well dressed and stunning. Ta-da Morpheus to the rescue XD
@ Nessy: I saw that bra, it will go nicely with a ruby crown. Someone asked on Pinterest if it is a part of a costume or just on its own, and that's a curious question ;)@ Diane: I absolutely love all the descriptions of outfits too.
Liz wrote: "Idea: The Queen of Hearts is going to make an appearance and maybe Alyssa and her have a queen to queen, political, full of passive agressiveness, showdown over ... tea."
A passive - aggressive tea party? An awesome idea :D I was just going through A.G.'s Pinterests today and found those creepy cakes with a bite that I think will fit the occasion ;)
Someone asked on Pinterest if it is a part of a costume or just on its own, and that's a curious question ;) @Nat I ASKED THAT LMAO ;D

Aha! Now I know who also said that Morpheus would look delicious anything or ... nothing )))
P.S. And I remember agreeing with you completely ;)
Hahahaha yeah you should have guessed that with knowing who it was lmao. You know my priorities. ;)I loved how you did!

I love that too. Coincidentally, I watched Little Shop of Horrors yesterday.
Since Alyssa has two main paths/possible endings to choose from, I decided to lay out my thoughts as to what will happen in every case and why exactly I firmly believe that Alyssa and Morpheus together in Wonderland is the only ending that will ever make sense. First scenario.
Where Alyssa chooses Jeb and the human realm.
First question that comes to mind - what would be the point of this whole series? Ending exactly where she started would negate all the meaning behind the story, all the character growth, all the story lines in this story, just EVERYTHING.
Alyssa already left her kingdom for the human realm once, at the end of Splintered. I honestly can't see her doing it again. But I still want to write down the consequences of this decision.
1) She will have to leave her kingdom and her subjects again for approx. another 60 years. Who is going to rule in her stead all this time? Grenadine again? Haven't we already been there and done that? Grenadine is not fit to rule. And there is really no one else.
2) She would leave Morpheus for another 60 years, and what is he supposed to do with his life this whole time???
With Jeb it would be a clean cut, so to speak. If Alyssa breaks up with Jeb, they both will know it will be for good, that there won't be a hope of them getting back together, and after a while Jeb will be able to move on with his life. But if Alyssa leaves Morpheus, he will still have hope and that future from the vision to cling to, it will drive him crazy and he woudn't be able and wouldn't want to move on. He would become wreck after all this time.
3) The magic dream kid won't happen for another 60 years, and all this time human children will be stolen to provide Wonderland with dreams.
4) Living in the human realm, Alyssa will have to suppress her netherling side all the time. She will have to pretend to be less than she is to fit in, and I just don't see how it can be any good.
5) Alyssa won't be able to stay away from Wonderland for so long, especially not after she was a full-fledged netherling queen in Ensnared. She will always feel the longing and the pull of the magic realm calling to her blood. And she will think of Morpheus (because lets' be honest - how can one ever forget someone as wondrous and sexy as him? :D) and their potential future together more often than not, and it will make Jeb jealous and drive him crazy. And she would feel remorseful that she left Morpheus. Not to mention the fact that she loves him too. It will just tear her apart.
6) If Alyssa and Jeb ever have children and possibly grandchildren, Alyssa will have to leave them all behind in the human realm after Jeb died of old age. It will be a hard thing for her to do.
Not to mention the fact that all her female descendants will be partly netherlings too. And that would only complicate everything.
And now let's consider what will happen if Alyssa does the right thing and accepts her true destiny.
Second scenario
Where Alyssa stays in Wonderland and she and Morpheus live happily ever after together forever.
1) Alyssa will stay in her rightful place, as the Queen of the Red court. Because that's where she belongs. And we will have the most amazing story of a girl, who started out as an insecure and damaged human and ended up as a confident and powerful netherling queen.
2) She will stay with Morpheus and they can start working on that baby right away :D Human children will be saved from being stolen and Wonderland will "thrive with new magic and strength".
3) Alyssa won't have to suppress any part of her nature. She can be a netherling without endangering and freaking out anyone, and she can still retain her human traits.
4) Only Morpheus can truly be Alyssa's equal in every way. From the way their characters are written, it is obvious how they were made to match. They both have wings and birthmarks and mood-displaying jewels, they like challenge, possess magic powers, value freedom and cannot be contained in either mind, body or spirit. And you have to be blind not to notice the amount of passion and sexual tension between them. When they are near each other, air is charged with electricity.
5) I'm sure by the end of Ensnared they will find a new way into Wonderland, so Alyssa's parents can come from time to time to visit their daughter and son-in-law and grandchild. Maybe Alyssa will come to the human realm too, after all the pain over her breakup with Jeb subsides and Jeb moves to London to study art like he planned to, so they won't accidentally meet.
6) And maybe later we will get the most amazing fourth book from A.G., set in Wonderland, about Alyssa and Morpheus and their son. Because the idea of this unique child holds so much potential for another story.
These are my thoughts of a hardcore Alyssa/Morpheus shipper. I don't claim they are universal truth, it is just the way I feel and understand the story.
If you either agree or disagree or have something to add, I'd like to know what you guys think.
@Natalie THAT WAS BEAUTIFULLY PUT!! I agree with your POV so much!! Everything I was thinking was put into those statements you wrote!! Well done

Thank you :3
Diane wrote: "Did it change her mind, Dahanci?"Apparently, she doesn't know.
O e
Well, she's Team Morph at least, so that's something. XD
@ Diane, Sabrina & Dahanci: thanks, guys))) I'm glad we feel the same way.Diane wrote: "The only things I could throw out there are things I don't think would really happen in the story, like if Alyssa were to lose the battle for the crown, or if Jeb somehow became part of the world of Wonderland..."
I tried to consider the possibility of Alyssa losing the battle, but honestly, it would be such an utterly HORRIBLE ending that it would probably kill the whole series. This is not some dystopia, after all, it is a fairy-tale. A dark one, but a fairy-tale all the same. I just don't see A.G. taking that route. She wouldn't make Alyssa lose her crown.
As for Jeb becoming a part of Wonderland, well, he might, of course, but I feel like he won't. At least, not for a long while. He will still choose to go back to the human realm, because nothing so far led me to believe he even likes Wonderland.

*hypnotizes Jeb to like Wonderland*
Hey, maybe that's what the Queen of Hearts is trying to do ;)
For starters, I think that Jeb has been with the AnyElsewhere queen/Queen of Hearts for some time because I just can't see he and Morpheus getting along for an entire month and staying under the radar and safe. And since Jeb is the weaker link he would be the getting one caught and then recieving the Harlequin makeover. Morpheus I think would either remain in hiding to be able to guide Alyssa because he would not doubt that she is going to come save them. Or maybe he could do the same thing from the queen's castle as a "prisoner", doing what he does best and playing her, but I'm leaning towards the former being more probable.Anyway back to Jeb, he's definteley getting in touch with his netherling side this book and in my opinion not by choice. I get a feeling that there is going to be some mind-messing in store especially for him. That's where I think the third line in the new quote come from.
In the past Jeb has been pretty plain about his dislike of Wonderland. And he's a pretty decent guy in general and he wouldn't just abandon his mom and sister when it's mentioned several times how much they depend on him. So he can't be in his right mind when he asks to rule alongside Alyssa, and I personally do not see him as Wonderland king material. I'm saying this as objetively as possible :3
Continuing in the not-all-is-right-with-jeb train of thought, that last sentence just sounded so needy . Neither guy has ever stated their case by claiming to be just as good as the other. They say there better , and then they go out and prove it or at least attempt to. No way would Jeb, or Morpheus for that matter, say that unless they were incredibly desperate and they aren't that type.
Sorry if my thoughts come out a bit jumbled, I'm on a limited amount of time x)
@ Diane I think he would be more like Queen's plaything. You know, dressing him up and making him paint for her.I always wondered what Red's actual name is. Maybe her parents just thought her future title would be the most convenient name.
I meant that Morhpeus would be the one playing the Queen if he were to become to her captive. Sort of become and inside man to Alyssa and so he could lead her to there location or something. Jeb strikes me as way to honest to be able to lie to someone to such a degree.
I've been meaning to look into the characters playlist for a while now. It sounds like there are so many hints in them.
I'm going to check them out this weekend. It feels like I'm missing out :) School is just taking away so much free time :/
Liz wrote: "Damn you, reality!"...Which is why Alyssa should quit reality and go to Wonderland ^ u ^
Liz wrote: "For starters, I think that Jeb has been with the AnyElsewhere queen/Queen of Hearts for some time because I just can't see he and Morpheus getting along for an entire month and staying under the ra..."Liz, I pretty much agree with everything. If Jeb is ever going to say those words about ruling together, it won't be because he really wants to, but because he is not quite himself. And that "plaything" idea have been my theory for a while now. Hence his "cheating" song, where he feels like he is betraying Alyssa.
And I do agree that last quote also sounds kind of needy and desperate. And this is what scares me the most. It sounds like it is coming from a losing party, and what if it is not Jeb? But then again, Morpheus would never say he is as good is Jeb and has just as much to offer, because he clearly (and rightfully) believes that he is better and he's always had immeasurably more to offer to Alyssa that Jeb.
Okay, just two more months of torture and we will know the answer.
Natalia wrote: "Liz wrote: "For starters, I think that Jeb has been with the AnyElsewhere queen/Queen of Hearts for some time because I just can't see he and Morpheus getting along for an entire month and staying ..."XD
Two more months....
i want a novella
like asap that baby needs to be written
And as for where Alyssa and her dad go first, I think that it was said in Unhinged that now the only way in is through AnyElsewhere.
da Hanci wrote: "like asap that baby needs to be written ."I could'n agree more :) Because, like I said before, if A.G. didn't want to act on the prophesy, then she wouldn't/shouldn't have introduced it at all. Because why center you whole book (Unhinged) around something that is not going to happen? It makes no sense from a writer's pov. I mean, the baby is supposed to save human children from being stolen! That's big.
Natalia wrote: "da Hanci wrote: "like asap that baby needs to be written ."I could'n agree more :) Because, like I said before, if A.G. didn't want to act on the prophesy, then she wouldn't/shouldn't have introd..."
...I know this is off-topic, but A.G. doesn't seem to comment often on the baby.
Perhaps she doesn't want to egg us on any more XD
@ da Hanci: Well, what can she say? As an author, she can't either deny or confirm anything. It is spoiler territory, and she always avoids those.
Natalia wrote: "@ da Hanci: Well, what can she say? As an author, she can't either deny or confirm anything. It is spoiler territory, and she always avoids those."Ah well~
Liz wrote: "For starters, I think that Jeb has been with the AnyElsewhere queen/Queen of Hearts for some time because I just can't see he and Morpheus getting along for an entire month and staying under the ra..."Yes, Job is not Wonderlandian. He belongs pretty securely in the human realm, from what I've seen. I agree that if that quote is him that he must be out of his mind, and I'm worried.
I've been listening to this song from Alyssa's playlist, Before The Fall by Galt Aureus, and it gives me all kinds of ideas. This song is a duet and it is from The Tudors and refers to the execution of Anne Boleyn.Hmm... And then we have the "off with her head" line from the Queen of Hearts, and how Alyssa used to have nightmares about it and how losing her head (literally) was mentioned several times in Unhinged.
So my next crazy theory goes something like this: What if Alyssa is captured by the Queen of Hearts and Jeb is the one who must execute her. I mean, judging from the cover, he looks like a knight of the Queen of Hearts and hence has to follow her orders, no matter if he wants it or not. Like he is under a spell or compulsion or something. His part in the song goes like this:
I can barely take my eyes off you,
how will I ever do what I must do?
By my word, I am bound:
execute the will of crown;
this jagged axe passed over no one,
but this agony is far beyond me...
And Alyssa says:
Their eyes are wide, they expect it now,
you must take this life from me
I know the songs have to do with either situations the characters were in, their emotions or moods, but no matter how you look at Before the Fall, it still has to do with execution, be it a situation or emotions the characters experience, or even a mood. No, probably not that last one, because how can one be in the mood for an execution? 0_0
P.S. By the way the song itself is beautiful and worth listening.

«Queen and King Red—here’s where it started. And here it will end …»
And this isn't even my prediction. It was Alison who wrote it on the margins of the book. You see, guys? Alison started shipping her daughter and Morpheus even before Alyssa was born ))) This is what I call DESTINY.
