Evelyn is smart and resourceful. She is a survivor.

Agreed. It worried me what she said about her father as well. I can see why she was willing to do whatever it took to make a better life.

I love the pep talks she keeps giving Monique. I think they are going to be good for each other.

I can’t decide if I like Evelyn. I feel she’s setting Monique up for something. Hopefully this will all be worth it. Still thinking there’s some connection with Monique’s black father. I keep waiting for the box of stuff to show up from her Mom. I’m betting there’s clues in it.

I’m glad that she realized that finally telling the truth to someone was going to be hard. After she’s lied for so many years she’s willing to admit she needs to learn to be truthful about her life. I hope her and Monique’s relationship means something big.
