I have been waiting for this installment for years! I don't know how I can wait any longer to read about Claire again and her connections.
So looking forward to find out what the Waverly sisters have been up to since Garden Spells. I'm also extactic to Sarah writing yet another novel. She writes in a spell binding way that you just can't put yhe book down! Way to go Sarah Addison Allen!!!!
FIRST FROST is currently not available for pre-order on Audible. Do you know when it will be?In the meantime...I will re- listen to Garden Spells.
I just ordered the hardcover copy of this book and can't wait to read it! I actually just discovered and read Garden Spells for the first time a couple weeks ago and I have to admit, I'm really surprised at how much I loved it. I mean, I read it in just under 2 days. Haha. Usually I'm into more epic fantasy/scifi stuff. Anyway! When I saw that a sequel was coming out shortly I was so excited! Can't wait till it gets here!

Thanks, Angelique, looking forward to it!
Just started reading it. The problem is, I want to eat it in huge bites, but I also don't want it to end too quickly. The reader's dilemma!
A rainy day would be perfect to read by. I tried to space my reading out, but I could not. Read it in two sittings.
My Kindle version had a missing ingredient in the Fight & Pepper bread... The Pepper. Can anyone tell me how much pepper is called for?? Thank you!!
Here's a link to the corrected recipe: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/group...Sorry about that! If you bake the bread, I'd love to know how it comes out! :)
Thank you for the corrected ingredients! I will let you know when I make it - not sure if figs are in season right now! I do enjoy figs though, and jave a bread maker and a mixer with a dough hook, which takes a lot of the work out, so am willing to try it - figs next!

You will not regret purchasing all of SAA's books! I have read each at least 2x, Garden Spells 3x because when I started First Frost, I wanted the characters fresh in my mind. I recommend doing this! Enjoy!
I thought I was going crazy reading the recipe. "Where's the pepper?" lol Thanks for the correction.Love the book. Just as I love all the ones that came before it.
Aha!! Someone else noticed it too!! The book has a boo-boo!! Check the website for the correct recipe. The recipe in the book failed to list pepper as an ingredient which I thought was interesting, particularly since it was a part of the title.
My book club just read this book. When we met to discuss it- everybody just happened to bring food with apples in it. Apple dumplings, apple salad, apple and gouda tarts, apple bread...... Needless to say- we all loved the apple tree!!!
What a great idea!! I considered the apple tree as one of my favorite characters in the book. The house was another one of my favorite characters.

Big news! Sarah's new book is called FIRST FROST, and it's a Waverley Sisters novel! It will be out in January 2015. Here's a little video sneak peek. Check back soon for early giveaways, contests, and great discussion!
