I absolutely loved this book! It was so well written that finished the whole book in two days! Marissa Meyer is an excellent author and I would recommend her books to anyone—no matter who they are. She writes on a topic that not a lot of young adult writers have done yet. She wrote about heroes and antiheroes! The book starts off with a girl that has been betrayed by the heroes who promised to save her. She wants to get back at them and to do so, she has to infiltrate the system. Along the way she meets a boy on the right side of the law. Even though she knows that she can’t be with him, there is something that draws her to him. The boy is also struggling with who he wants to be. He wants to do the right thing, but to accomplish that he has to break some rules. This is a well put-together story and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I have to say it reminds me of X-men a little bit, but I loved it. I am an X-men nerd—what can I say?
