Persephone Books discussion

I've started reading this memoir by Monica Dickens. Mariana is partly autobiographical, and some of the events in the novel are alluded to in the memoir. I'd recommend reading One Pair of Hands. On a side note, it's very funny and Monica is a much more likeable character than Mary.

Thanks Camille, I have a copy of 'One Pair of Hands' and i'm looking forward to reading it after enjoying 'The Winds of Heaven' so much.
