Melinda | 26 comments I'm taking 2 of my classes online this semester, college Algebra and Early English Literature. I like Math online because I can go at my own pace and I can't learn math from lectures. I have to read instructions and look at examples to understand. My early English Literature class is great because I'm usually a very quiet person, so if I took it on campus I would probably never voice my thoughts. Online discussion forms make it so much easier for everybody to participate in the discussion. I also like to be able to think through what I'm going to say and really think about what others have to say. In class you can't do this, but online you can take a little bit of time.

Last semester I took a creative writing class online. I don't think I ever would have been able to do that on campus. I don't like reading my work aloud to people. I've posted a few of the poems I wrote in that class here https://www.goodreads.com/story/list/... if you wan't to check them out

I have taken a few other class online and I enjoy it much more than on campus. No two classes I've taken have been structured the same. Just like with classes on campus online instructors all have their own way of doing things. Make sure you read the syllabus clearly and understand everything that is expected of you, and don't be afraid to send your instructor a message if you have any questions

Edina | 24 comments I've taken online nursing classes which were not ideal. I've always had to be self-taught but they took it to the extreme of not explaining assignments. No one to talk to or compare topic ideas with.

My issue with online classes was I tended to procrastinate WAY TOO MUCH. When I actually have to go to class, it is harder to put stuff off.

Kristin Howell (kristin_howell) I've enjoyed all of my online classes. You don't get the whole experience of being in the classroom, but usually they still have discussion postings and most of the professors were very good at responding to emails and such if I had any questions.

I think it's more of a personal preference, though. If you do okay with computers, if you don't need that face to face instruction or peer experience, and if you are okay with setting your own pace more or less and having to motivate yourself to get the work done, then you should be fine.

Best regards.

Larry Chiagouris | 1 comments Procrastination is a common problem for many students, especially those taking an online class. I encourage my students to do the following to help them from falling behind in their work: Just keep the Nike slogan in mind: "Just Do It." Do it now and you do not have to think about it tomorrow. It is better you jump in and get your work done now and forget about it rather than have it all on your mind about what you should be doing.

Dyxifawe | 1 comments I've had experience in an online college. It was weird because you don't have your own classmates. But the most comfortable part was that you could spend more time on vacation. Another plus was that I was able to order my homework right after my online lesson on a website https://paperell.com/write-my-literat... that allowed me to write a literature review. An excellent service that frees me from the hassle. At the same time as studying, I was able to earn extra money, because I had a dream to buy my own car. For now, I'll say online college is right. But the downside to me is how distracted you are when you're at home.

Kristina Barkley (krisbarkley) | 1 comments Hi people! I still can’t believe that I graduated from college. Books are my love. I love to read and write essays. Almost immediately, I got a job as a copywriter here. I want to continue to move in this direction and write my book in the future. There are already a lot of achievements.
