It sounds stupid but I need a confirmation. The first date, the 7th, is the date for discussion right? Not for beginning to read. Thank you.

Luffy, you can start reading now or later, but the thread will be open on the seventh of September. I usually start reading on Monday - this is the day when thread are posted, but I comment on them either on Tuesday or Wednesday if the section is not too big or if I am not too busy.

September 07 is the official date when the discussion starts.

HELP!

I was about to start reading it on my Kindle, but there are only Chapters 1, 2, 3 etc... No Roman numerals at all. How should I proceed with my reading? RSVP!

I guess I didn't see there were chapter numbers PLUS roman numerals! Sorry about that. I saw the roman numerals and assumed those were the chapter numbers!

Yeah, it is going to be tricky - divisions within divisions :-)

Except for the first week we finish our reading on an even chapter each week. So take week 5 (Week 5: 10/5 Ch 10-Ch 11.II), we read through Ch 11.II and start at Ch 12 the next week. I tried not to end at a roman numeral...so each week ends at a chapter, not a division of a chapter, does that make sense?

I'm on my kindle as well and I don't think there are roman numbers. Can anyone tell me the page number that we end on.....I know there are different editions, but I think that the kindle page numbers are similar to US hardback. ( I'm traveling right now......I did check out the hardback from library for reference, but didn't want to pack it)

The Kindle book that I got from the library has the roman numbers spread throughout Part 1. At first I didn't think that it did, because they weren't listed in the table of contents.

That said, I can't check the Kindle page number, because my Library book has expired. Now I have a hardcover copy. The first week's reading runs through the end of p. 68.

In my kindle e-book, the beginning of a new chapter doesn't show I, but II etc are shown...

It's page 61 on my Kindle.

Thanks.... I discovered that as Luffy said, the Roman numerals start at II

It has been awhile since I participated in a GR discussion group but saw this choice & couldn't resist joining in. I've had this book on my To Read shelf for a long time so I am really looking forward to reading it & participating!

Hi there Kristi, I think there has been a mistake (or my copy of the book is different) in the reading schedule for Week 3. Chapter 4.VI is unaccounted for.

Is the faster reading schedule going to be permanent or was it just for this week? I;m trying to read next weeks portion and deciding if I should read only week 10s reading or both 10 and 11.

I'm personally all for the faster schedule! :-)

I'll be permanent. I'll be updating it tomorrow.
