“One for the Murphy’s”

One for the Murphys, by Lynda M. Hunt, was very different from most books we have read. The book is about a 12 year old girl, Carley, who was put in a foster home and struggled with adapting to her new life. Her foster family was very different than her and her moms old lifestyle. We all enjoyed this book because it made us think about how change is a big deal for a kid. It also is a way to understand how other people may be struggling with family issues we wouldn't even think about. We are proud that we read this book because it had many lessons throughout the story, and highly recommend it to others.
