How are you feeling about this book so far?

I am loving it. I have no idea how it is going to end and I am excited to see what kind of twists it takes. So much great material has come up.

Loving it! I had some suspicions that turned out to be true. Just can't wait until we find out what the end is!

I'm really enjoying it! The writing style is so beautiful and flows so well to me. I love how Hopkins describes emotions. So far Matthew's decision making has been really frustrating to me but I think that's part of what has me hooked. Very curious to see where things go from here!

LOVING IT!!!!!!

I do not like Hayden. It's so refreshing to read about Matthew when's he's not with her. I love Uncle Jessie. I love finding out Luke's story along with Matthew's. At the beginning, I wanted to know everything. But now that I've read more, finding out throughout the book has a much bigger impact on the story.

Matthew's parents need to leave each other. Sure, divorce sucks. But they are just too miserable being in the same house as one another.

That's some effed up stuff. I feel bad for Matthew. He lost his brother and really had no support system at home. His parents have basically said we have no sympathy for you so get over it. His over reliance on Hayden makes a lot more sense to me now. Glad for the reveal concerning her. She's annoyed the heck out of me since the beginning of the book.

Also his parents are a complete mess. Geezus

What a mess! I really like Matthew, but I question his choices. Really looking forward to seeing how things work out.

I don't like Hayden because she seems too lukewarm and judge mental. I also don't like that he cheated on her. His life is very messed up, and I am interested to see where it goes from here.

definitely understand why he is so dependent on Hayden, he really has no support from his parents. I was disappointed in him for cheating on Hayden, but am not sure that I like them together. Their poor communication is frustrating.

this book has really taken me by surprise so far I expected it to be about an Atheist boy but Luke's story really sells the book for me. I think homosexuality is prominent issue now and the way that Ellen is telling Luke's story through Matthew is beautiful.

on another note: Hayden drives me insane, I am team Alexa. Matthews parents are a mess, especially his dad.

Loving the story so far, can't wait to continue. :)

I'm enjoying it SOOOO much!!!! I was at first on tema Hayden but I'm starting to lean more towards Alexa. I have nooo clue what's gonna happen next but I can't wait to find out!!!! I love Ellen Hopkins writing style!!!

I am intrigued by these characters. I find myself wanting to see more about Luke's life and the relationship he had with Matthew. I agree that Matthew and Hayden do not work well together, and I do think Alexa would be a much better fit for him at this point in his life. However, I'm not sure they'd be compatible long term; it almost seems as though their relationship could easily turn volatile.

I can't stop reading it. There are so many things going on that I can't wait to find out how all will end. Matt's parents are such a mess and I really hate how his dad outright told him Matt's the reason why he has a crap life. Why would I parent say that? :(

So I understand Matt's need for Hayden but I don't think they work well together. I know we girls can be confusing but saying you want a guy to respect your values and then jump on the "gay-wagon" because he doesn't force you to have sex with him,is wrong. And it really annoys me she discussed it with other people...like Judah.

I can't wait for the rest. And Luke... Really live how we get to see his story through Matt's eyes.

I'm liking it, but not loving. I was expecting it to be a little more intense and deal with more than a matter of who believes what. I'm hoping it will start to get deeper and more personal as the story continues.

I really dislike Hayden. Her attitude to Matt and everything he's tried to do for her is infuriating. Matt sort of gets me angry too, but I'm trying to make peace with his character. Then his parents...everyone seems to cross me in this book. Hmm.

Luke and Matt's relationship is a beautiful thing, and it's a shame they had to deal with their parents giving them crap for the stupid things they did behind their backs. I'm looking forward to the rest of the book and how their stories will collide again.

I feel bad for Matt. Not only did he lose his brother but his parents don't even love him. Cheating is so hurtful and wrong.

I'm really enjoying this book so far, I feel like I've read it so fast and I'm already almost half done. I'm not ready to finish it. But I love the writing style. I find is really nice to read compared to what I'm used to.

The story is quite deep. I don't condone cheating at all, but I'm really happy with what's happening and I really do not like Hayden. She frustrates me so much.

I can't wait to see what else happens after this :)

I completely agree with this! I'm just hoping they break up soon. It's a toxic relationship and I can just feel Matt's frustration with Hayden and can understand why he cheated. It just feels like Hayden is pushing him away, but he needs someone there that cares, like Alexa.
