Jamie Burgoon | 123 comments I couldn't help myself - could I, a compulsive tidier, learn something from Marie Kondo? The short answer is yes, but not too much. I was surprised to learn a new way to fold my socks, but almost as important, was the validation I got from reading this. Sometimes I had a way of doing something (everything having a proper place, and the importance of only one location per kind of item), but I didn't quite know why I wanted it a certain way, and now I do :) I also was able to let go of a couple more bags of clothes due to some psychological reasoning in her book, and I'm happy to say that when it is nice out, I wear my dresses more because I can actually see them hanging in my closet! I can't say I agree with every thing and every approach she takes, but I think almost anyone would be able to get something satisfying out of this book.
