I love Alpha Male books club discussion

Can anyone recommend some good books or even movies with a lot of angst? Where H and h really struggle but in the end fall for each other? I'm looking for stories with emotional intensity, but not "dark" (no kidnapping, sexual violence, etc.).

Is this a steamy romance, as well?

Very steamy, first book in the series. Second book comes out in 2 weeks.

There are no cliffhangers in any of the books in the series. Each can be read as a standalone, and each book has a HEA. The characters do reappear in subsequent books in the series.
