I can't imagine living at a time when ocean voyages were the only option to travel to another continent. While I love the water, boats have never been my favourite mode of transportation.

I was completely miserable on the 3.5 hour journey from Picton to Wellington New Zealand--it was too dark to see outside and I didn't have a good book to read.

Anyway, I listened to the Audiobook for Dead Wake about a year ago and loved it. Larson provides fascinating details about all the main players in the tragedy. I was particularly interested in learning more about Woodrow Wilson's presidency.

Oh, I loved An American Marriage.
It won the Women's Prize for Fiction this year.
