For once in my life I actually suspected the right person. I kept wondering why no one suspected her just because she was old!
I was all over the place, too. I’m not even sure Prudence was high on my list ever. I also thought whoever killed Charles also killed Daisy, primarily because the same method was used.
I actually suspected Jenny for most of the book because her reactions to Charles' death were just so strange. I couldn't think of a motive though. I realized it was Prudence when Jenny's past was revealed. It had already been mentioned that Prudence didn't believe Charles was really her grandson, so it wasn't outside the realm of possibility that she would kill him to protect the family name.
I was also surprised that Malloy and Sarah didn't even think of the other woman in the house just because she was old. Naive on their part.
