3:15 into the audio. They are searching for her brother. So far I'm enjoying it. I always forget how wordy Stephanie Laurens is. When she starts to ramble on and on about Roscoe's business stuff I wish I could just skim it

She's always like this. And I always forget that. But I tend to like her stories enough to forgive her ramblings

I'm putting my money on whatshisface that is "courting" her. The dude with 3 kids that wants to marry her. If it's about $$ then he might think getting rid of Roderick will make her richer and then himself via marriage.

Yes ! I think so too. He’s after h er only for the money(which is not exactly a secret), and she will be even richer if her brother is dead. Plus he needs a mommy for his 3 kids, so that’s a bonus.

Im at chapter 7 . Roderick is broken and they are staying at Roscoe’s sister-in-law’s estate ....

I just started chapter 14 .... i like the story but it seems to be dragging a bit !

Yea, I'm about to hit chapter 11. The story has definitely lost its momentum for me. Tomorrow I will speed up the narration a bit until it gets more exciting.

ok i'm at chapter 17 (I think) - when the long lost cousin returns... this may introduce some excitement into the story … not sure :)

seriously - started off great - ended up pretty disappointing...
I "love" how they made a huge issue about him changing his name, no longer being a lord, etc... and that's why he can't marry her … but then (view spoiler)[ once they decide to marry, it's no longer an issue - he married her as Lord Julian, she is a Lady by title, yet he reverts back to being Roscoe and no one is asking any questions. Ummm, so if it was so easy to do - why was he making such a big deal of it throughout the book ?!?! (hide spoiler)]

Also - I was right , (view spoiler)[ the long lost cousin brought some excitement back into the book, but definitely not enough.... It was all pretty anticlimactic , and it could have been great! (hide spoiler)]

Meh - this really didn't captivate me at all ! It was good, but kinda boring :)

Yes! I'm here. Sorry. I still have 4 hours left. I've been a busy girl. I'm officially moved into my new house. We had a lot of unexpected issues but I'm slowly working thru them.

Moving sucks. Plus I was violently ill all day yesterday. I suspect food poisoning but idk. Hopefully I'm better today.

I enjoyed the beginning and the ending picked up a bit but that middle chunk was pretty dull.
