Hi team! I’m excited to get started.Sarah, thanks for offering to be Captain.
I can help if needed. I’ve been captain for bingo many times and it’s pretty easy compared to other games!
Hi team!I'm so glad you two offer. It's my very first group challange so I hope it will go well.
And I have already a question. In her message Ezinwanyi mentioned: Remember, you may choose your free space book now, but you can't read it until the first day of the game! does it mean each of us picks a book of their choosing or do we pick a team category?
For the free space we can pick a book of our choice, and we can post what we've decided to read for that spot, but we can't start reading it until the game starts on June 4th.

correct!
correct!
Hi all,I am so excited to do group bingo. I have done several group challenges, but I don't think I've done Bingo before. I'm in Australia, so my replies might come during your night or at weird times for you all.
Are we allowed to plan for spaces yet?
Chava wrote: "Hi all,

Yes, you can plan for your shelves now by looking to see what books can fit into your categories. You can post your free Space now. You just can't read your free space until the game officially starts.

Daph wrote: "Hey, all. What are you thinking about reading for "free space"?? I have too many options myself lol"That's the same with me - decisions, decisions :-)
Chava wrote: "When do we read for free space? Is it when that is announced or is that between books?"If I understood it correctly we can read any time we wish but can only start Tuesday around noon as soon as the first shelf was announced.
Daph wrote: "Any ideas for a group name? All I could come up with wasBooked 4 Bingo

lol"
I love it! So far I had no ideas but still thinking about.
Daph - I really like that name! I was just going to ask if anyone had any suggestions.I always plan for shelves, just so then I'm not browsing through hundreds to figure out what I want to read lol. For each shelve I'll make myself a list of about 5 books just because I tend to be a mood reader.
Having 5 options is a good idea! I am very much a mood reader myself so I think I'll try that way too :)
I'm in the same club! For the more difficult shelves and those I know I won't find books very fast I made an excel shelf with books I can access short-term.
For those I know I have many books (series, suspense, mystery) and I think it's not a question if I find anything I'll browse my monthly challenge folder and see which of those that fit there I can use for Bingo as well.
The well searchable or those I already have separate shelves for (#, pub. year, disability, location, genres...) I'll check after the call-out what I'm in the mood for.
I'm so glad I read over the categories again and noticed now I fogot to check out the listopia for pregnancy/child books.

The pregnancy/child one is really difficult. Unless we can use a romance or something. Harlequin seems to have a million and one titles that say "Pregnant With the Boss's Baby" or something to that effect lol

Harlequin books will be able to fit anywhere, they are so 'versatile' ahem LOL.
I read a horrible shape-shifting dragons with alients erotica book for a challenge. The things we do to win! The lucky author though, the whole team read the book so we could all get the points
Chava wrote: "Daph wrote: "The pregnancy/child one is really difficult. Unless we can use a romance or something. Harlequin seems to have a million and one titles that say "Pregnant by the Boss's Baby" or someth..."Too funny! lol
Chava wrote: "...I read a horrible shape-shifting dragons with alients erotica book for a challenge. The things we do to win! The lucky author though, the whole team read the book so we could all get the points"OUTCH! That one sounds horrible *shaking at the thought*
Here are two non-romantic books with a child-MC Room & The Road to Terminus. The seond one is Christian but without any romance whatsoever (the author mentioned somewhere she doesn't like this combination). I don't plan to read any of these myself but thought I post them just in case it would work and any of you like to read one.I discovered this book last week Pay It Forward and immediately got it from my library. Now I realised it could fit here (child-MC) and for the movie shelf too. I'll use it most likely for my free space book because I want read it as soon as possible and hope it's as great as the stuff I heard about the movie!
I try to read more Christian fiction again and found in this genre several I'd like much more. The best thing one of the series I want to continue will fit the paranormal genre (one of my more difficult shelves for this challenge) and the next book in series Kindred Spirits has the MC heavily pregnant :-) while fighting for her late husband's country (she became the queen after his death).
So free book needs to literally be a book one got for free according to the "Shelf Thread". Hmm, I will probably go with a library book. :)
Daph wrote: "So free book needs to literally be a book one got for free according to the "Shelf Thread". Hmm, I will probably go with a library book. :)"But also those you got as a gift, KU, Audible and other 'clubs' you don't buy but borrow

Okay cool!! TY for clarifying :)
1) Pregnancy doesn’t have to the main storyline. You just need someone to be pregnant at some point even if it’s the end.
2) A child doesn’t have to be the main character. There just needs to be a child in the story.

Awesome. Then I have a book that will work perfectly. Thanks for replying :)
Donna didn't check in yet. How does it work? Should one of the captains contact her or do we just assume/hope she'll join on the the day after tomorrow for the first call out?Should we announce our captains and group name to Ezinwanyi? Since there were no other than Daph's great idea of Booked 4 Bingo (and I still have nothing at all) I think we can go with this name or does one of you not like this name?

*We can make our selection posts for free space now if anyone's interested in doing so. We just can't start reading until the 4th.
**We need a Team captain. Any takers? lol
I normally would jump in and volunteer for captain. However, I am moving in a couple weeks. I will check in once a day at the very least but I do know I will be pretty busy. If nobody else wants it, I can be captain but I would prefer to sit this one out. I wouldn't mind sharing the responsibility with someone though.
From Sarah's original message #4 and SandyC's message (#5) I understood it the two will do it together or did I get it somehow wrong?SELECTION POST

Oh I missed that lol I don't have to be captain then! YAYY haha
I thought of one more very random group name --Stamp in the Name of Love
Since we'll be getting stamps for each square we fill. It made me think of the song "Stop in the Name of Love" for some reason lol
