Team 8: The Gr8 Escape

I'm Paula from Chile.
This is my first team playing Bingo, so I prefer not to be captain.
Are you reaady?

I can be captain if no one else can, but has anyone played before? because I might be a litlle confused at times =/

Hey team, it's nice to meet you all!
I'm a veteran at bingo so I can pick up the captain reigns if Claire doesn't want the position either.
As for a team name, we can look into the team number in Wikipedia for inspiration: link here.

I believe Claire was assigned for team 5 too, so I'm not sure if she is on this team

This is her team, not Team 5. Team Captain needs to send her a pm

We're starting tomorrow, is everyone ready? I'm a little anxious to know what category we'll have to read

There's an update on Claire's homepage: "Currently not active on GR due to health problems. Hope to be back soon."
How should we proceed?

Review:
The story of Cecilia, a worried sister who travels to America to find her missing brother Thomas, but finds his injured best friend Edward instead.
Edward wakes up missing a good chunk of his memory, including that of his marriage to Cecilia. The two have been corresponding through Thomas's letters and have grown quite fond of one another, but never actually got married or even made plans to do so. Cecilia lied about that to be allowed to care for Edward while he was sick, and the lie kept growing since being Edward's wife meant she was more likely to get some answers about her brother.
Edward takes Cecilia at her word and he is even happy to be married to her, but (view spoiler) .
An engaging story that I enjoyed despite my usual dislike of characters keeping secrets for too long.
The series continues with The Other Miss Bridgerton and the story of Edward's brother Andrew.

Unless anyone has any other suggestions we could go with "The Gr8 Escape".

Review:1914. The Outbreak of War In the French City of Arras,
Father Andreas is brutally murdered and the Catholic Inquisition sends its most determined and unhinged inquisitor to investigate. Poldek Tacit's mission is to protect the Church from those who seek to undermine it. At any cost.
As Tacit arrives, British and German soldiers confront each other across the horror that is No Man's Land and a beautiful French woman warns Lieutenant Henry Frost that there is a dark and unnatural foe lurking underground more awful than even Tacit can comprehend.
My thoughts:
dark and twisted from the very start to the last page, it has every thing in that I love in a book historical backdrop with supernatural ties, the struggle of good against evil and that no matter what you might want to stay inside and lock your doors and even then you might not be safe , yes its slow going but I still enjoyed it so much that I couldn't stop reading it, and yes I would recommend it to my friends ,

Review:
So this one is a bit hard to review. I originally picked it up because I was interested Auschwitz and Dr. Mengele who was said to have some crazy experiments during the war.
However the story itself followed a pair of twins who BTW Mengele was obsessed with, and kind of "collected" them during the war. You hear about some of the things he did to these children and the things that he made them do.
Once the twins get separated, as when I kind of lost interest in the story, and then it was just story of finding each other.

Review: Once upon a time--long, long ago, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth--an egg rolled away from its mother and landed in the ocean, where it froze solid and stayed peacefully for thousands of years. Then one day Santa and his elves discover the frozen egg, and Santa sits on it to see if it will hatch. But he can't guess what's inside. . . . A dinosaur!
Meanwhile, a young boy named William Trundle has only ever wished for one thing for Christmas: a dinosaur! So when Santa accidentally gives William the real Christmasaurus instead of a stuffed replica, it's the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER! Until an evil man known as the Hunter decides a dinosaur will be the perfect addition to his collection.
my thoughts:
Charming, funny, whimsical and heart-warming, it's truly a festive treat for readers young and not so young , and the more you read it the more you fall in love with the characters , it could be a favorite of anyone no matter their age.
