Barb Jingles, if this should be posted in a different thread, let me know and I'll repost it :)

For those of you, like me, who use FictFact to keep your series reading organized, you'll be saddened to learn that the site has closed. If you go to the site now, you'll see this:

We recently lost our primary source of income, Amazon Associate sales. Due to a minor error on our part, we unknowingly had in infraction of their terms. We tried to appeal after we corrected the issue, but was not successful and they terminated our account. Over the years, we have had donations from our wonderful supporters, but it is not enough to cover our operating costs. We are extremely sad to have to close down the site after almost 10 years. Thank you for all your support over the years!!

There is a link where you can download your book data as a .csv file until July 1. If anyone knows of a site that might work as a substitute for FictFact, please let me know!

Oh my gosh! I use FictFact all the time to keep track of all my series, as well as to find new series. This is so, so sad.

I will start hunting for another source, Barb, and I hope others will do the same as they have time to do so.

If anyone does find anything, please don't hesitate to post the information here.

Barb, thank you so much for posting this to let us know what's going on.

That's too bad. I would have liked to see/use this site. Please post links if you find another site.

Denise S | 385 comments Just saw a post on Facebook about a kind of help desk from Fict Fact - guess they have a Facebook site as well you might want to check out if you are having trouble downloading.

FictFact gave this link for requests for help

I didn't use it quite as much as I do GR, but I've added books to it that were new in the series and I bought books through their links too. Sad that they weren't given a second chance.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) Thank you Barb for letting us know about FictFact….im really disappointed because I used this website all of the time especially for bingo reads...this sucks....hopefully someone will come up with another source that works as well if not better.

I found this site, seems to be user friendly

Barb I've been looking at FictionDB, which appears to give you the option of receiving emails when your authors release -- or maybe announce? -- new books. If it's announcement of new books, I'll be happy, as that's one of the things I'll miss most about FictFact. I'll try to remember to come back and let you all know how it goes, once I figure out which authors I want to include and get them all added to my list.

I recently found that site as well, Barb. Because I don't like change I guess, I don't find it to be as easy to use as FictFact...though, perhaps I'm just being too stubborn about it all. I did set up an account, and I'm going to try to get all my series caught up on their website at some point. Ughh....change!

I haven't even looked at Fantastic Fiction though, so perhaps I should do that first.

Diane L | 52 comments I made an account at Fantastic Fiction. They have a limit of 100 authors, 100 series, 1000 books.

I could use it to track some I'm working on and then when finished remove them. I was tracking over 170 series on FictFact.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) If you read a lot of Cozy Mystery series, www.cozy-mysteries-unlimited.com has a really nice website...once you create an account you may check off the books you've read in that particular series and it will show you the books that are left...

That makes me feel a little better :) My list at FictFact included more than 200 series. Ooops! I've been working on finishing some of them... but I keep starting others, so I'm not sure I've made much progress *sigh*

Barb I went through my Read shelf here on GR and made a list of the authors I read most often, then started entering them into FictionDB, but I only got through the Cs, and I haven't started marking the books I've read. I'm hoping to find the time to finish entering the names from my author list over this holiday weekend. So far, though, I haven't seen anything about a limit, but I guess time will tell :)

I had tried to join that site a year or more ago and it didn't have the sign-up info. It says membership is pending, but they sent a welcome email. I love cozies, it's really all I read

I didn't really poke around much there other than to start favoriting authors after I made an account. I made one at FictionDB too and they have 3 lists that you can keep--names can be changed on them and they have a help desk if you run into something you can't get to work. Just tossing that out for whoever. :)

Diane L | 52 comments This is on the Settings page at Fantastic Fiction

My memory was wrong. The third limit was on Wishes, not Series.
