The inaugural Boston meetup will be held Sunday, June 2 at 1pm. We will meet in the Newsfeed Cafe in the central branch of the Boston Public Library.

I've made an event below. Feel free to RSVP again there, even if you participated in the Doodle Poll, and if you didn't participate in the poll and want to join us, let us know you plan to come.

Awesome! It seems like announcing the monthly meetups has had a positive effect on getting new groups going. You're guys are the second new group in the last few months to get going.

Just in time for the monthly group message later this week too. Hopefully if there are others out there in the Boston area who didn't know about the poll or the meetup will find you guys.

Not sure if there is a way to open it up to anyone who can find it, or to all group members (without spamming everyone with an invite message).

Anyway, I am a Maybe. Will try to make it, but I have a meeting beforehand in Woburn (hopefully it won't run too long). I may also have a 3-year-old in tow (this could prove to be a terrible idea on my part).

I really need to dive in on this month's pick. I am apparently first in line for a copy of the e-book with my local library :-)

The issue appears to be she left the RSVP by date as May 1st. Maybe she meant to make it June 1st?

For me I call in our reservation the Monday before, so that's when I set our invites to, but I never realized what that did I guess.

You look to have gotten several responses to your doodle poll there, but only 1 other person responding here.

Your original mention of a new thread didn't have a link to this one and/or the event.

I did include a link to the event in my monthly blast, but it may be worthwhile to ping that thread for the people who have notifications turned on for it, but won't see this one unless they come actively looking for it to reply or follow it.

I'm currently the only firm YES. I'm still planning to swing by since I wanted to go into Boston anyway. PLEASE JOIN ME! I'll probably hang out for 20-30 mins before abandoning my ship/table/coffee...

I was in San Diego that day, about as far away as possible.

I'm not opposed to trying another meet up, but I'm not sure I have the bandwidth to try to coordinate right now.

I'll advertise the thread again this month..maybe you'll get more interest!

I'd have thought there be a lot in/around Boston. Then again the Baltimore/MD/DC has mostly been the same group for 5 years.

So I guess people are just shy or something..
