Week 21- What Are You Reading?

This past weekend: I finished Educated by Tara Westover and read Born a Crime by Trevor Noah and Red, White & Blue by Casey McQuiston. I am currently working my way (slowly) through Harold Bloom's The Daemon Knows: Literary Greatness and the American Sublime (very slowly), I also just bought the next four J.D. Robb books.

I don’t mind branching out with books and am thankful for the “take it or leave it” challenge for that opportunity
For the bad rating one I decided to see if 50 shades of grey was worth the hype- ha- its not.
Going to finish “miracle creek” tonight hopefully.

This week I'm reading The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (AKA J.K. Rowling) on audiobook and Charmed to Death by Shirley Damsgaard on e-book. I'm also working on a few more library books so I can get them returned on time.

I am currently reading, The Cartel, by Don Winslow (book 2 of the Power of the Dog, addicted to this new author to me) and The Line Between by Tosca Lee, my first time reading this author. Just finished a book by one of my favorite authors, The Cornwalls are gone by James Patterson.

I am currently reading John Grisham's book, The Reckoning. I have a love/hate relationship with Grisham. I have also restarted Erik Larsen's The Devil in the White City. I am listening to it on audiobook this time. I like the author; he wrote Isaac's Storm, a book about the hurricane in Galveston Texas in 1900. A good read!

What do you all think of a bag about books? For example, it might have a mug, a book journal, a library stamp kit, and other bookish items in it. There would be a couple books but they would be books about books (like Anne Bogel's I'd Rather Be Reading or Bibliophile by Jane Mount).
Would you all like this better? And yes, this is the prize for our Halfway Celebration in a few weeks.
Again, thank you so much for your input. I'm really trying to have the best prizes for our program so I greatly appreciate all the thoughts and comments. You all continue to be the best.
What is everyone reading this week? I'm finishing up a few manga and then working on A Court of Mist and Fury. I'm doing a read-along with a few others and I have to get it finished before the end of May. We'll see how it goes; I didn't realize the book was over 600 pages long.
Tell us what you are reading this week!
