BR from Sept 2 - Sofia, Rosa, Bev
I hope it will be a good one now when I got the ARC as well. It isn't fun to write a angry ARC review. But Andrea loved it and I trust her.
Yes, the Smurfette certainly recommended it, so we can only hope it lives up to the advance publicity. ;)
Enjoying this one so far, up to 7%. Will read some more this afternoon.Oh Inge...Did you pick up that Full Circle by Riley Hart is out today?? My finger is itching to click on that...perhaps I'll read a little of that next. x
I don't know how much reading you all done tonight. But I'm glad to see Bev happy anyway. ~ I'll join you tomorrow. :)...and Bev have a nice trip tomorrow. Let us now when you are in Portugal. (((Hugs)))
Nice to to hear, Sofia. I just saw another good 4 star review on the big thread. = Hopefull! Have you heard anything from Rosa?
Hehe. I'm reading 5 books at the mo including this one. The new Riley Hart (sorry, I couldn't resist ;), Kade Boehme, Amy Lane and LC Chase. Not sure about the Kade one though, feels a little rushed and I'm not that keen on the characters. Hopefully, with some time to myself while we're away, I'll get a fair bit of reading done. Will split my reading on the flight between this one and Riley...need to see that Mateo is being treated alright by those 2 hunks of his...;)
Haha, I'm not sure about the "Riley" book. I'll wait to hear you and the other girls here assure me that it's really good first. - Is Mateo the small guy in the midle on the cover? (...odd cover, I don't like it)If you haven't heard about them Sofia:
I read the sample of the first one Ingela and did not continue. I think it's not my kind of thing :)
Probably not Sofia. :)The first one was both tough and a upsetting story. I liked it in the end, it may even have been a five from me. Threesome isn't really my thing and I'm always a bit afraid of sequels when we already have the HEA. Maybe...
At Heathrow at the mo waiting for the flight, taking advantage of my 45 minutes free WiFi. The little guy in the middle is Joshua, Mateo and Tristan are the biggest guys, I'll let you know what I think.Up to 13% in this one, the ship has just docked and Ezra has had his heart broken by Tommy who has found someone else. :(
I'm reading a bunch of books at the same time right now and I'm tragically behind. Will catch up this evening. No, Sofia, I'm not racing. Promise! :) I just want to catch up! <3
Ingela wrote: "I'm behind to, Rosa! I cross my fingers it will be time tomorrow Thursday. :)"Oh, good, I'm not alone! :)
Bev wrote: "I'm really enjoying this one. Up to around 26% now. Hope you're all enjoying it too!! ♥♥"am at 20% - That seen with Ezra was .........
Getting hooked.
Enjoy yourself :D
Probably dottier. Better endowed would just be weird for reasons I won't go into as I am a LADY, thankyouverymuch.
Sofia wrote: "46% things are getting serious guys. this book is ........."^^^^ totally this.
how is everyone liking it?
and lol @ dottiness. :D
please 'scuse my interruption.
Andrea this story makes me want sit down and read it in one gulp but at the same time I need time to digest as some of the things that are happening merit that.
Sofia wrote: "If you give me some of your dots, we could be equal in our dottiness :D"You can have as many dots as you need, sweet cheeks. I give you all the dots!
Haven't done any reading so far...been too busy compiling lists of my Favourite Classics on Facebook..hehe!! Oh, and driving here, getting settled in etc. Will read tonight, but I really like it!! :) Dotty or not....Thank you my lovely Smurfette for the rec!! Mwah!! <3.......................................
Ingela wrote: " I don't understand this joking about the dots..........? I'm kind of dotty, right?"Poor Ingela......... You are in a dotty buddy read :D
Sofia wrote: "Andrea this story makes me want sit down and read it in one gulp but at the same time I need time to digest as some of the things that are happening merit that."Yesssss, totally this, for forever and a day lol
And you're welcome, honeybunch!! :D
They all are tugging at me Bev, Ezra has special tugs but the others as well. You are British have you seen that episode of The Accused about Tracy, reading about Ezra reminded me of that.
At 37%. Oh dear, I think Sky and Rosa are up 'shit creek' without a paddle. You're right Sofia. I love all the characters...well except Tiggs. Miguel and Hollister are wonderful too. Never watched The Accused, but I'll try and track that episode down.
Amazon tells me my The Normal Heart DVD has been posted from the US, so I've got that to look forward to when I get home. It's awesome!! :)
BevI love the flower shop and the people there and Tiggs is sometimes a work of 'art'.
The Accused is a great show. The character building and developement in it is astounding.
Am going to check about The Normal Heart :)
Had to get The Normal Heart from someone in the US, not available on AmazonUK yet...but they only charged me £2 postage anyway.
Wait. Who's Tiggs?I clicked on this page and the first comment I saw was Bev's "Sky and Rosa are up 'shit creek' without a paddle." I thought "I am? What's going on in my life?" Luckily that only last 10 seconds. I just woke up. I need coffee.
am at 65% and the shit has hit the fan Rosa and it's flying all over the place. You must feel more popular than usual with your name up there in the book Ro :P

From the blurb:
Straight, married Petty Officer Second Class Skyler Thompson battles homophobia from his navy buddies, the military, and his wife when he takes a job creating flower arrangements at a gay-owned florist. But rather than yield to pressure and quit, he refuses to give up the joy of creating beautiful arrangements, battling homophobia for artistic expression. His dream is to leave the navy and open his own florist shop.
Ezra Dumphy—his shipmates call him Dumpy because of his obesity—is a gay sailor who likes to dress in drag. He is shunned by his shipmates, tragically lonely, and uses drugs to cope with his solitude. What he wants more than anything is someone to share his life with.
Can these two men, opposites in every way, help each other achieve their dreams?
