Halloween question

Hey, welcome back, Aaron! I have the original paperback purchased in 1978 and it has been many years since I picked it up and read it. Aside from a little background on the history of the evil spirit that possesses Michael Myers, it is pretty much identical to the movie.

Like Holly, it's been a while since I read this too, but from what I recall, there was a chapter or two dedicated to Michael Myers as a child, and I believe his grandmother as well. As far as novelizations go, it's pretty solid and mostly faithful, but the Halloween 2 novelization by Jack Martin is excellent.
