Karen I like Kristen Ashley's stories, but she is just uses such gross language. Is there another writer like her that won’t make me feel like I’m reading porn?

Terri Can you explain that a bit more for people to be able to make the right suggestions to you? Cause I don't feel it is like reading porn, so I need more info from you.

Karen I just prefer not reading every "ooh and ahh". And the constant f-bombs. Her men subject women to such gross language. She’s just too graphic with the sex scenes. The definition of pornography is printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings. definitely describes her writings. I do enjoy her stories, just not the erotica, hence the request for recommendations for other authors who can grab my attention without the stuff I’d rather not see.

Terri That helps me understand what you are looking for better. However, most of the books written nowadays either describe the sex a lot, or use foul language. I would suggest going to some older writers like Nora Roberts and Judith McNaught who weave excellent stories, with no language or graphic sex scenes. I will also look through my list and see if I can suggest any others.

Karen I just read "The Law man" and while it still uses the f word frequently, the graphic sex is not as, well, graphic. I have no objection to sex, I just don’t want to have it described to me in sooo much detail. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate that you took the time.

Terri Try Second Draft (Men with Wood, #1) by C.M. Seabrook , Chase (Resisting Love, #1) by Chantal Fernando , Luna and the Lie by Mariana Zapata , Embody (Full Circle, #1) by S.E. Hall , Coming Home (Baytown Boys, #1) by Maryann Jordan . Look through those and see if you like any and I can always give you more

Karen Thanks so much. I’m elderly and my eyes aren’t as wonderful as they once were, so I’ve been using Goodreads recommended books but getting them in audiobooks from my library using the Overdrive app. None of the above have narrated books. I looked for authors similar to them, so hopefully I can come up with an author I can follow. I really appreciate your help.

Terri Ok, I will try to come up with authors that have audio books for you.
