Ana (4nn4) Brag about how much you have read!

message 2: by Rachel (new)

Rachel F (rachelbookdragon) | 1 comments I have read 27 books so far :)

message 3: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 13 comments I start every year with the idea that I am going to read more “serious” books, and therefore, read fewer books. Which is why my goal is currently 35 for the year. Of course, I am reading books 21, 22, and 23 all simultaneously right now (only one of them being remotely “serious), and I will probably hit somewhere around 60-70 before the end of the year. The only thing that might slow me down is that I am hoping to play some catchup with the Outlander series!

message 4: by Nancy N (new)

Nancy N | 7 comments Only 15 so far this year. As I said in my intro, too addicted to TV binge watching lately. Stupid Hulu and all the seasons of SVU! 🙄😝

message 5: by Samadrita (new)

Samadrita | 8 comments My read shelf has around 400 books?

Oh, this year I have read 41books (mostly YA though)

message 6: by Helen (new)

Helen (helenfhnin) | 11 comments I've read 86 books for this year and my current goal is to read 160 books. Of course, 86 books also include graphic novels, short stories and poetry. So my actual target for 2019 is to at least read 40000 pages.

I love the page goal. I'm considering one for myself now.

That's good to know. If you decide to try it, I hope that goes well for you!

message 9: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Lara I’m currently sitting at 99 reads for 2019, should finish 100 today. My goal is 150 books.

message 10: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Carpenter (bbfounder) | 9 comments My Goodreads yearly reading challenge was set at 80 books for the year...however that was before I joined a group that does monthly book bingo...so I have read 67 already and expect to blow by 80 next month next years challenge number will be much higher unless our life changes before the new year.

message 11: by Ann (new)

Ann | 2 comments I've read 22 books so far this year, although my goal is only 60.

message 12: by Ana (new)

Ana (4nn4) I've read 48 books this year so far. My goal is 70 books. I might bump that up after June 30th or maybe I'll just go and see how much I can get over my goal.

message 13: by Shaz (new)

Shaz (zabooksihaveread) | 2 comments My original Goodreads reading goal for this year was 60 books but I have had to increase it to 100 books. To date I have read 71 books so I will no doubt increase my challenge number again. Reading challenges are a great way for me to be challenged with the different types and genres of books I read.

message 14: by Ayacchi (new)

Ayacchi 31/30 and maybe will add apx 13 books for summer and who knows maybe i'll end up reading 100 by the end of the year 😂

message 15: by Beth (new)

Beth Hershberger (brichter496) | 11 comments For as long as I can remember I've set my yearly minimum reading goal to my age for that year. Every single year I've passed it spectacularly, but it's fun to make myself read at least one more book every year. This challenge alone pretty much takes up a good chunk of that

That's such a good idea!! Only I would probably make it twice my age. I read even more than that.

I considered that, but even as a kid I thought about being like 50 years old and struggling with that. Haha

message 18: by Kylie (new)

Kylie D I've read 89 of a hoped for 200 this year :)

message 19: by Erin (new)

Erin (navysaylorgirl) | 16 comments My goal is 52, one for each week of the year. However, considering that I'm participating in three challenges, and am already done with 32 books, I'll probably push it up later in the year. But right now, I just want to hit 52!

message 20: by Lenoire (new)

Lenoire (ladyace74) I finished reading 49 books so far but, I just joined the challenge. I am hoping to read 20 books

message 21: by Lia (new)

Lia (harvestsunlight) | 4 comments My goal for the year has been 50 books, and I'm at the 22 mark. Wish I had time for more!

message 22: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 35 comments My goal was 50 books and I've read 90 so far, some of those are novellas or short stories though

message 23: by aliceshields (new)

aliceshields | 22 comments My 2019 goal is 30, read 25 so far 🤓

message 24: by Ilsen (new)

Ilsen | 33 comments My 2019 reading challenge is 40 books and I read 25! I’m 7 books ahead of schedule which is great

message 25: by Saidah (new)

Saidah Gilbert My reading challenge this year is 400. It's usually 500 but last year, I found myself just barely making the 500 instead of breezing past it as I usually do so I lowered the amount this year. I've already passed the halfway mark so I may bring it back up to 500 if it seems necessary.

message 26: by Julie O'brien (new)

Julie O'brien | 3 comments Every year, I set my Goodreads Reading Challenge at 50 a year. Getting off to a slow start this year ... only 11 so far. But, I normally catch up during the summer!

message 27: by Michele (new)

Michele (micheleevansito) Finished the GR Summer Reading Challenge. 23 books with some fitting in more than one category.

message 28: by TerryJane (new)

TerryJane I completed both levels of this challenge on 7/18/19, reading 22 titles. It took a few extra to cover all the continents.

message 29: by Ilsen (new)

Ilsen | 33 comments I’ve read 35 books out of 40 for my yearly challenge and I have completed almost all of my beginner challenges for the Summer Reading Challenge

message 30: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (bookstasamm) | 6 comments My goal was to read the 12 Beginner books for the summer reading challenge, and I completed my goal last night!

message 31: by Kristine (new)

Kristine | 13 comments Tried to read 27 for the full challenge + all the continents. Got 26 finished - missing a book taking place in South America! Still proud! ❤️📚😊

message 32: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (amethystperhaps) | 5 comments I usually set my yearly reading goal for 100 books, and have met that for the most part. Last year I had to cut it way back, but I think I'll be able to make it this year. Though I'm behind schedule, I think I should be able to complete it. This summer reading challenge really boosted it for me. As for putting my goal at twice my age, that would put it a bit above 100. LOL
