Short Story Connect discussion

I have this checked out of the library right now, but I haven't read any of it yet. I plan on starting it later today.

Looks good! Gotten through any of it, yet?

I've read the first story. (Kinda pathetic. In my defense, I was sick and didn't want to do anything but sleep.) It was actually a re-read as I own the anthology it was originally published in. The story, "Coldest Girl in Coldtown" by Holly Black has since been expanded into a full-length novel. (I want to read it but it was checked out last time I was at the library.)

The story is really, really good. The ending gave me chills. Both times I read it.

Tried going to Barnes and Noble for it, but they no longer have it. Looks like I'll have to see if I can order from online or something. Dang it! I was looking forward to reading it...

Have you checked the library?

My local library had a copy. I found it while browsing a couple of months ago.

Not yet - libraries are a last-ditch effort for me (something about the books being used AND having to give them back after a while). Looks like it's on Kindle, though, so if I can't find a quick-ship place to purchase from, I'll get it for my computer.

I've still got a few stories left in this book, but I've enjoyed every single one of the ones I've read so far.

I still wish I'd waited to nominate this for October instead... It's nicely creepy. I'm already in the mood for Halloween!
