The Wicked Wager by Anya Wylde is free. This is a non-JAFF Regency romance/mystery. In her review, Leslie says that it's humorous and referenced Columbo.
Hello, everyone! I just found out that Nefarious is in a cover contest this month over at All Author. I would love your support!https://allauthor.com/cover-of-the-mo...
Yes Nicole it's been discovered here. ( Not much gets by this crowd). We've been voting for it for the last day or so!!

Congratulations for your book being included in that cover contest. I saw it listed and shared it under the Chatting about Covers discussion the other day. I also cast 2 votes (I used 2 different devices) for it as well.
I Just wanted to share that Amazon is having a promotion for 2 months of kindle unlimited for only $0.99 (Redeem before 11:59 p.m. (PST), June 30, 2019). https://www.amazon.com/kindle-dbs/pro...
If anyone isn't already a Kindle Unlimited subscriber this is a good deal to try out. I am not a Kindle Unlimited subscriber and took advantage of a similar promotion earlier in the year that I enjoyed and plan to take advantage of this promotion as well.
Sophia wrote: "Thanks, Chelsea! That looks like a very nice deal."I know, there's a lot of Austenesque Books on my TBR List that belong to KU so I plan on activating it later in the month after reading a few books of mine or from my library first.
FREE - The Meyersons of Meryton Kindle Edition by Mirta Ines Trupp found this to be an enjoyable read
is 99 cents, and you can add Audible for $1.99. I always enjoy the historical Timeless collections. Non-JAFF.
Today Nicole Clarkston is visiting Babblings of a Bookworm with an excerpt of her latest Pride & Prejudice-inspired novel, Nefarious: A Pride and Prejudice Variation. There's also a giveaway - please drop by! https://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot...

Abigail wrote: "Hey, Marlene, how are the renovations going?"They're going well. They never seem to run out of things to do. This past week, they worked on roofing and siding. I think they may have done that because we're waiting the pricing for the options for addressing a couple of issues. I still have my skeleton kitchen, which I appreciate, but I expected to lose it some time this past week.
I really want to see what they do tomorrow. :-) Dan bought paint to repaint the wall in the boys' room, so I'm thinking two more weekends to reassemble the bunk beds for the boys.
Update information on books Leenie Brown is rotating in and out of KU. I don't have a membership but know that many of my GR friends do. Here is a link to a list of those books. https://www.leeniebrown.com/books/boo...
You must have the patience of a saint, Marlene! Dealing with all the mess and chaos and cooking for a large family in a "skeleton kitchen" that may go away at any minute! I would be at the ranting stage. Good luck to you!
I failed to let y'all know of the next stop in the blog tour for Nefarious. Man... I am slipping. This isn't an excerpt this time from Elizabeth... this is the history of how the story came about. If you would like to see behind the scenes... drop on by. So sorry I forgot to post this. There is also a chance for a giveaway. Stop on by for a chance to win a gift card, e-book, audio, or signed paperback. Last day to enter June 18.Candy's 'So Little Time' blog: https://candy-m.blogspot.com/
Loved the post, Jeanne! I'm so thrilled for you gals and your book. It was great getting the behind the scenes. :)
Downton Abbey exhibit in Boston! We'll be in Boston this summer. I'd definitely go to this exhibit if circumstances were different - i.e. I'm not willing to leave anybody holding the 6-kid bag -- but maybe one of you would be interested in this. (Kirk?) :-)https://www.boston.com/culture/arts/2...

Oh yes, I've been planning on going. I had thought about seeing it in New York last summer.

Before the Season Ends by Linore Rose Burkard is free. A non-JAFF Christian regency romance. (The very first Christian regency romance published!) This book is a favorite of mine.
Thanks, Marlene. There is one more stop left on the short blog tour. That will be tomorrow and then the drawing. Nicole will be visiting Anna over at Diary of an Eccentric. I'll post a link after we post tomorrow. Good luck to those in the drawings.

Love the story the two of you tell about how Nefarious came into being.
We've had friends staying all week, so I was MIA from here and the tour for the duration. At least we managed something that Elizabeth Bennet never did - a visit to the Lake District! If any of you ever get the chance, it's very much worth it. I can recommend a visit to Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread Shop in Grasmere - the smell alone is worth going in there for - gingery butteriness or buttery gingerness is how I'd describe it. Then we visited the grave and memorial to William Wordsworth in the church just next door. After that, we headed off to the cottage where Beatrix Potter lived and wrote her Peter Rabbit books. The interior is just as she left it and, though it's not very big (built in the 17th century, with an Edwardian extension) it's just the sort of house I could live in.
I visited the Lake District in 2008 and second your recommendations, Anji--as well as Ruskin's house and the surprisingly interesting Pencil Museum! You can reach Ruskin's house by water, which is fun.
Anji, thanks for giving us a heads up on the Lake District. You and Abigail make me want to travel to that area. Maybe... someday... who knows. Anna over at https://diaryofaneccentric.wordpress.... did her review on Nefarious and there is still a chance for a giveaway. This was the last scheduled stop on the limited blog tour. We have had so much fun and the comments have been amazing. Thanks to those who have participated.
Abigail wrote: "I visited the Lake District in 2008 and second your recommendations, Anji--as well as Ruskin's house and the surprisingly interesting Pencil Museum! We did do a bit of water travel, in that the most direct route home from Beatrix Potter's house was by the ferry across Windermere. Another time, we're planning on going to Ullswater and spending the day hopping on and off the steamer that calls at four different places around its coast.
J. W. wrote: "Anji, thanks for giving us a heads up on the Lake District. You and Abigail make me want to travel to that area. Maybe... someday... who knows. "Well, if you ever do, let me know, Jeanne. Depending on what part of the Lakes you're talking about, it's somewhere between two and three hours drive from where we live in Yorkshire. It'd be lovely to have a Janeite get together in such beautiful surroundings!
I looked up the details about Ruskin's house: it's called Brantwood and is on Coniston Water and can be accessed by steam yacht gondola.
Anji, If I ever make it across the pond, I have several of my GoodReads friends that I would try to contact and you would be one of them. Thanks for letting me know I would be welcome.
J. W. wrote: "Anji, If I ever make it across the pond, I have several of my GoodReads friends that I would try to contact and you would be one of them. Thanks for letting me know I would be welcome."Of course you'd be welcome! Any of my friends here from across the pond are welcome should you make the journey. Northern England doesn't have very much in the way of Austen-related sites, apart from a few locations used in dramatisations, but it has many beauties of its own.
Mirta Ines Trupp visits Babblings of a Bookworm with The Meyersons of MerytonThe Meyersons of Meryton, which sees a Jewish family as a neighbour of the Bennets. There's also an ebook giveaway! http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....

Hi Austenesque friends! Sophia has granted me permission to ask if there are any of you who would like to be added to the ARC list for Quills & Quartos Publishing. We'd send you an email about once a month to ask if you wanted an ARC and of course there would be no expectation of a review (we'd like it! But not require it!) and certainly no expectation of a positive review (fair, unbiased, impartial, etc) In any given month, if you didn't have time/interest in the book on offer you could refuse it with no impact on future offers. Also no matter how you chose to review a book (positive, negative) would have no influence on receiving future offers.
So if you'd like to be added to that list, send me a PM here with an email address and also this statement:
I agree that receiving ARC from Quills&Quartos Publishing neither compels nor influences my review of the book offered.
Thank you in advance! And thanks to Sophia for allowing me to post this here!
Anyone interested in an ARC of The Colonel, Beau North's latest that synchs up with her excellent Longbourn's Songbird? I just finished it last week, and it's fantastic! Due to release July 2. You can get a free ARC right now through NetGalley: https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/boo...
Zoe Burton fans: she has combined two of her series into one boxed set. 'Promises Series' and 'The Darcy Marriage Series': 5 books total into one boxed-set at $7.99 [US]. That's about $1.60 per book. Coming Together: A Compilation of Two Pride & Prejudice Series
It is also on KU for those who subscribe.

Since I have KU, I'll pass on the Zoe Burton set, but thanks for the heads up anyway, Jeanne. I see LOTS of high ratings for Emma and the City. At 99¢, it's a great deal. I grabbed myself one. Thanks, Sophia!
I'm in KU so I'm passing on the Zoe Burton box set, but thanks for sharing that info, Jeanne.I see lots of high ratings in Amazon for Emma and the City and 98¢ is too hard to pass up, so I did snag that one. Thank you, Sophia!
